Sun 4:30 ET. Thank goodness this is on the road. We might have won if we were at home. Could still win if Goff is back. Swift back this week. Defense is still a skeleton crew though so dont get the hopes up.

I have been very impressed with JRM lately. He has become more than just a ST guy now. He is a legit LB. Very surprising as I would not have given him as many opportunities as this team has but it looks like it is finally paying off.

The Lions don't have anything to play for. I think Pete Carroll is on the hot seat, I'm going with the Seahawks winning out against the Lions and Cardinals (Cards are in the playoffs).

Boyle can go back to the practice squad next year. Draft Zappe and let him learn behind Goff the next 2 years. I think he will be there early round 3. I might even trade back. Get another 1st round pick. I just dont like this draft. We may not need a DE either as we are playing a 3-4 now. We have C Harris and J Okwara and Bryant has been getting better.

Hope we turn it around in 2 seasons. Its just about the most Lionized of Lions moves to suck the year there is no franchise QB available and then they'll be just bad but not awful next year.

I say teams were taking it easy on the Lions. The Steelers game was right down ugly without Big Ben. The Lions just got lucky against the Vikings. The Cardinals gave the Lions a handicap, but Goff knew how to beat the Cardinals when he was with the Rams. Both the Vikings and Cardinals were snake bit. I do believe the 49ers, Eagles and Seahawks exposed the Lions defense for who they really are...

We had a shitty safety plying number 2 CB and our number 5 DB playing our number 1 spot. I doubt that is who they really are. Wilson had a good game. He was smart enough to know to throw to whoever Harris was covering.

Yes and no. Lions have not been ahead in too many games so teams have not needed to throw too much. We also ran out of 3/4 OLBs. Bryant is basically a rookie experience wise. The whole defense for that matter is the youngest in the league.

Too many other factors to look at just sacks in total.

The big difference was the D-line played terrible for the first time in a while. That was surprising.

5+ hour travel to the west and a depleted roster on the defensive side aided in that debacle and even if we had all of our starters, it wouldn't have mattered. Games like this are going to occur to a team that lacks as much talent as this one.

We still need a DE. Our 3-4 base uses 5/4i techs as a DE. Brockers, Williams and Onwuzurike are our DE's. Brocker's may very well be here next year unless he retires in the off-season and all that would be left is Cornell and Onwuzirke.
