Do we really want his unlikely run to end by pulling him in this game? The guy has earned and deserves the ability to finish this one. If you're going to bench him, (Heinicke) do it after the bye. Allen can then have time to work with the first unit for two weeks!

He's also less mobile, hasn't worked with the first unit, and has to be extremely rusty, after being idle for as long as he has. Beyond that confidence in that leg in live action, has to play on his mind.

Agreed, but I believe that's by design. (I've posted the Rivera comment before about limiting him. )
