Why are you so low on AH? When the QB hand picks you to be on the team he will make a difference. Forget the past AH is the slot guy this year. Should get alot of targets. Carter was brought here for his return ability. It was pretty easy to see that he was going to be the returner when he was signed. Well, for most people. lol. His WR ability had nothing to do with it. Milne was kept on the active roster so he wouldn't be poached from another team. There is a great possibility that C. Sims and AH are gone next year which will make Miline the #4 in 2022. They like this guy and didn't want the risk him going on the wavier wire. I thought he should of been protected on the PS. They like Milne better than AGG but Agg has a decent shot of being the #5 next year unless he gets signed by another team this year.

I am basing my expectations off of what AH has been in his career and his steady decline. I am basing it off of what we saw in the preseason. So, I guess we can say I am basing it off of empirical data and trend analysis. He has had exactly one good season, and since that season, every statistical category has gone down. His preseason was abysmal and keeping Milne on the active roster speaks to that.

Fitz did not hand pick AH. Their connection is tenuous at best. Fitz May have given him an endorsement from when they played together but there was never this great connection you claim. I have shown that 75% of those stats came with Winston at QB. Hell, my fear is AH gets a lot of targets. He only catches 65% of those targets and when he does catch it, he gets less than 10 yards per reception…both of which are horrid rates.

If we had signed Devine Hester, I would agree it was clear to see it was to be THE returner. Carter simply is not that good. Provide evidence to correct me if you like. He plays on a minimalist contract and could have easily been beat out.

If AH is second in receptions, why would they let him go?

Your blind hate for Cam Sims is still loud and clear.

And still your love for AGG is holding on. You were surprised nobody picked him off the PS…you think Sims is gone but AGG will surpass him. You base your opinions off of nothing tangible.

Most of our WR's are endeared by our staff, not so much by others. We have Tmac and an injured Samuel and a bunch of other guys.

AH might get a huge contract that we wont match. I am not a fan of C. Sims. I clearly admit that. I think Agg has better upside. If Sims plays great, wonderful. As the 5th wideout I dont see him doing much this year unless there is an injury. Isn't Sims a UFA next year? Its very possible he is gone. Yes, Fitz wanted us to sign AH. Plus you are factoring years that AH got hurt, so of course his stats wont be good. Again, Carter was brought here to return and you still can't see that. Whether he is good this year or not, he was brought here to return.

Sure…if he lives up to your expectations…and turns into somebody completely different than he has been.

We all know you don’t like Cam Sims. There is no reason to believe AGG has more upside because he has not shown it. Cam is a FA next season but that isn’t why you think he is gone.

Show me where Fitz was pushing for AH. From there, show me why anybody gives a damn what Fitz wants.

Look at AH rates. The yards per catch have nothing to do with injury, the yards per target have nothing to do with injury, and the catch rate have nothing to do with injury.

You seem to be misunderstanding with regards to Carter. I agree his only place on this team is as returner. He was not brought here to be THE returner. Carter has never been good enough to be THE returner.

I still don't get the infatuation with AH?
He basically will be asked to do what Barber did, and get 5 yards here or there.
Folks should HOPE near the end of the season, both Brown and Milne have supplanted AH.

No…you like the people you like. There is zero evidence that Newton is better than Fitz today. There is plenty of evidence suggesting the opposite because his old coach doesn’t even give him a second thought.
We all like the people that we like, but this isn't about that at all. Newton's playoff and SB experience alone makes him better than Fitz. Cam has experience, Fitz none. Now, Cam was essentially a couple of throws away from getting N.E. into the playoffs in 2020, despite being hit hard by Covid. (no excuses just fact) To be fair, you're right, RR didn't give Newton a second thought, and if we're being fair, 8 of his former head coaches didn't give Fitz a second thought, including last years head man. Newton played on a pretty MEH team last year, Fitz played on a team that finished 10-6 and missed the playoffs. (probably because he was on it, historically speaking :pound:)

Here's the matchup, pick your poison... Last year (a momentary snapshot) vs career ( which tells you all you need to know about them)

Why we have Fitz
Essentially, RR is conceding this year, something that I vehemently disagree with because right now they are a QB away from a deep playoff run. Think about this... what more is there to add to this team, outside of linebackers and a QB? That is what he said in the interview outlining his rationale for signing Fitz. He's too damned conservative and appears to have reverted back to that, instead of being the "Riverboat Ron," meaning aggressive, towards making his current team a serious threat. This is probably among the most talented teams (on paper) wearing a Washington uniform in the last ten years and he wants to "wait and see" IF they are a QB away? What bullshit!! THEY ARE A QB AWAY!!

They thought that they had Stafford, and have been monitoring the Wilson, Watson, and Rodgers situations when in fact they should have pulled a Snyder for Stafford as they do when there's a player visiting here that they want. Essentially, if they truly wanted him, stay with their efforts until there's ink on paper. (Damn that hurt my fingers typing that kind of praise for Snyder) He/they didn't do that but claims to have tried! Does anyone else recognize the contradiction? They were willing to give up draft capital for Stafford, but can't do the exact same thing to get a QB in another manner, likely cheaper than what Stafford would have cost.

"The Los Angeles Rams have got Stafford for two first-round picks (2022 and 2023), a 2021 third-round pick and quarterback Jared Goff."
"Josina Anderson tweeted that, per a league source, Washington's offer for Stafford "was better" than what the Rams traded away."

He claims they didn't want to act out of desperation (seems like more of the same wait for things to come to them bullshit) and yet allowed the Chicago Bears to out-maneuver them in getting IMHO the best QB in this past draft. The Bears moving from No. 20 to No. 11 overall to select Justin Fields. Chicago sent the No. 20 overall pick and a fifth-rounder this year (No. 164 overall) in addition to 2022 first- and fourth-round picks to secure its quarterback of the future. Washington selected one pick ahead of Chicago at 19 and should have dealt with Carolina at 8 for less using players and picks. I know that a lot of people focus on how well QB's do post draft, but I'll be keeping an eye on Jamin Davis... I'm expecting a whole lot out of pick #19!!

When asked by a fellow poster what I thought of Adam Humphries signing, my response, "I would have never signed Humphries on my football team!" (FWIW)
