Whether is was due to his injury last year reports were that his camp wasn't as good as others and RR wanted to give him a chance to catch on somewhere else. Samuel, Humphries, Brown and tall Sims sealed his fate.
How about Carter and Sims both make it.
I would hate to drop Sims Jr for a year of HumphriesI don't think we keep 7.

"If" Patterson shows well in PR duties, I believe Carter is gone. Really liking Milne as well.I think Milne will take over for Humphries next season.
I would hate to lose Sims over Carter when Carter has done nothing in his career. Carter has exactly 0 TDs in his career. Sims has had 5 receiving, 1 rushing, and a KR. Sims is by far the more explosive player.
That is my hope. I like Patterson no matter what but I would like to not waste a roster spot on a guy that is simply an average KR with no home run ability."If" Patterson shows well in PR duties, I believe Carter is gone. Really liking Milne as well.

If Humphries does poorly, he could resign with us. You could have simply said, Humphries could resign with us.If Humphries does well he could resign with us. We can protect players on the practice squad. I think we can protect 4.
humphries is a one year rental . you cant pay him much to stay , if you stash milne on the PS he could be ready next year unless he beats out both sims and carterIf Humphries does poorly, he could resign with us. You could have simply said, Humphries could resign with us.
Let’s say he does well with us. Do you pay him 10 million/year? Before you say he won’t make that, look back a few years and he was making 9 million on his contract with Tennessee.
I assume your answer to that question was no but let‘s say it was possibly.
Does your answer turn to no if Milne continues to progress and becomes worthy of some playing time? It should because that is how you build a team. You do t spend 10 million on one asset, if a half a million dollar asset can ALMOST do as much.

I think you put Milne on the PS and protect him. He is doing well in camp and could be a great find. Humphries salary could go down b/c he is older. he could lead the team in receptions this year.
If Milne,Patterson and Humphries can do kick offs and punt returns really don't need Sims or Carter when 99 percent of the time kickoffs are touchbacks now
Milne is a bigger target better route runner and better handsSims can actually play WR. He is more explosive than Milne…a completely different players.
How does Humphries salary go down if he leads the Redskins in receptions? That doesn’t even make a fractional percentage of sense.
