Hard to pass on this guy if he is there
I have taken Werner is several mocks.
So Parsons hazed one of his own teammates, then proceeds to choke him out because said teammate was upset? It took a lethal weapon to get Parons to stop choking out his teammate? I don't know man, people do not change over night. Lavar swears by him? That alone should give you pause.Okay nothing a quick Google search can't fix.
Parsons was a hazing a fellow teammate and pored water on his head in public.
The water got on the teammate laptop and ruined it.
Said player(Humphries) got up to fight and hit Parsons.
Parsons proceds to choke out his teammate.
His teammate had to pull a knife to get Parsons to stop choking him.
That's when the fight ended.
ps.....Lavar swears by Parsons and said in a separate article I read that he would never allow anyone around his family that he didn't trust.
Wasn't this guy beaten badly on multiple occasions in the Championship game?
Not sure how much football you have been around. I have seen teams that held others accountable and would give them a good ass whipping at times. Alfa males. Hazing still goes on the dude hit Parsons. Parsons responded back. Right or wrong this shit happens a lot more than many think. So Parsons hazed one of his own teammates, then proceeds to choke him out because said teammate was upset? I imagine it does but in today's day in age? I have seen something similar at an area HS and while only a few players participated in the hazing, the teams season was cancelled completely due to the act of hazing. That sounds nice. I have done all that and clearly you didn't play in PG County with Nick Lynch or Ed Shields. If you think what Parsons did was a big deal then I am glad you had your very nice life. Shit happens. Those same kids also stood up for each other through thick and thin.I imagine it does but in today's day in age? I have played football since I was 7 starting in the Reston, VA area. (SYA) Continued to play each year throughout HS. Played on a VA HS State Champ team in '85 while our school dominated from years 82-88 nearly making or making the Champ game each of those seasons. I have coached youth football, HS football and DIV II football over the past 27 years. I no longer coach these days but view the game differently than most casual fans I guess. I knew my HS Jr season I wanted to coach football moving forward and took that path and enjoyed it immensely and more so the relationships with coaches and players, especially the younger players who needed that mentor and necessary discipline to push them towards better opportunities outside of football. Back in the day I played on one of the most diverse and competitive HS football teams I can remember. In 4 years we lost 2 games, (1 as a soph, 1 as a Sr, last game) and in those 4 years we never had a hazing incident. A few fights yes but always in practice, always monitored by coaches who let us fight for a while then stopped it. A good old check of ego's never hurt anyone.
As for Parsons, I only hope we have the opportunity at 19 to draft him, hazing aside. He is one of a handful of players I would really want at 19, otherwise, trade back and add more young talent.![]()
how do you rank him in comparison with Holcomb?I have taken Werner is several mocks.

My nephews played DII ball at West Virginia State, Glenville State and Bowie State. I have a friend who won the DII Rimington Award at Shepherd. Navorro Bowman is a family friend that at Suitland and Penn State. Lamont Jordan is another friend from Suitland and Maryland. Lots of our kids played DII and DI ball. Where did you coach? We weren't very good when I played in HS but good times. RB and DB.
I was very interested in what Parsons was accused of since I am a Penn State fan. When I read several about it my first comment was "you have to be shitting me." It sounds to me like a whiney kid that couldn't hold his own.

Interesting, I've been very pleased with Holcomb, I'll have to check out some Werner film, im intriguedI see Werner as bigger and more athletic.
The question becomes instincts and I can’t speak to those. Holcomb seems to have good instincts and that helps to mask his warts.

I played HS football down south where men were men. However, every summer, (August) we traveled north to play Warwick HS or Robinson HS to prepare for our season ahead. Maybe you have heard of Fredericksburg which is tucked in between DC/Richmond.I never ever thought I'd see Reston and PG county mentioned in the same story.
Lots of talent out of both areas, much different mentalities though especially on whats soft or not
