I love the list of better actors provided by OP. When making a movie it helps to have people that can act. Hollywood has been choreographing for years this is nothing new.

Not saying we aren't used to it or that's basically all we see but Queen Latifia..... Naw... I don't see it, I just can't...

I probably will watch it but to you honestly think that she is the correct person for this role?

So according to posts I am reading and assuming most posters are male, it should have 1. Been a dude 2. A young dude 3. An Old dude but a young dude would be better 4. Someone with MMA skills.

I am a male.. I just don't think she was the right choice. There are plenty of other female actresses out there that could/should have gotten the role. She could prove us all wrong (and I am hoping she does). I just don't see her as that "bad ass" type of character that is needed for a show like this. Again, I hope she proves us all wrong

Just learned she is an Executive Producer. Might explain it.

Again, I hope she proves us wrong, really do.. I just can't see her for this type of role. I am glad "Hollywood" is trying to spice it up and not having the same actors playing the roles

See and that's cool, at least give the chick a fair shot. There is this other cop show out now with Gabby Union and some other chick both pretty ladies but it's horrible

Jessica Alba. Watched one episode of that and barely could make it through. Only continued to watch it because of Alba

Someone who has not been borderline obese their entire career and doesn't strike me in the least as tough. If I could compile a list of not tough actresses who I could least likely see in this role id have got to QL pretty quick.

Or the fact I haven't see a single performance of her I felt impressed with
