Its the right move to release him. The balls move would of been to release him last Monday. If he did that and Heinkie won yesterday Synder would of built a RR statue in front of the stadium. Alot of people are hating on Synder for the draft pick in 2019. The player didnt perform to his ability. How is this Synders fault? After the year he had at Ohio St. and we desperately needed a QB after the Smith injury. How can you fault Synder for taking DH at #15? Gruden didnt want him b/c he was trying to save his job and didnt want to mentor a rookie. He thought Case Kennaum gave him the best chance to win. How did that work out? It's another first round bust but I can see why the pick was made in 2019. Qb's always get over drafted. Alot of fans wanted Haskins over Case Kennaum. It didnt work out so lets move on. I just want to admit that I was onboard in drafting Haskins at #15 in 2019. We had no one and after the year he had in college how can you expect Synder not to do it?

Synder didn't listen to Gruden b/c Gruden wanted to save his job and Haskins wouldn't of helped in that cause. Of course RR is absolutely right in releasing DH now. Im just saying you have look at in in April of 2019 at our QB situation. Synder has a shot of getting a franchise QB at #15 without giving up any draft capital and he took the shot. Why is that on Synder? DH just didnt perform.

I remember everybody on here bout as giddy as a school boy after copping a feel with Mary Beth in the broom closet. If I remember right it went something like this... Holy heck we just got the steal of the draft!! Can't believe he fell to us!! etc etc... Nobody could envision such a colossal bust after that pick,,, or even before. I don't fault Snyder for taking him,,, the fan base was crying out for a QB. Shit just didn't work out. However, I am almost just AS excited seeing that Snyder seems to be letting football guys try and make a winning team for him rather than his money.

The talent was there, we needed a QB. It falls on Haskins not Synder. Alot of guys get drafted in the first round with character flaws. the football guys in this case was Gruden. Gruden only cared about saving his job.

Guice I agree b/c Rb's area dime a dozen. With our QB situation in 2019,and with Qb's always getting overvalued in the draft, I see why he made the pick. Plus some thought Haskins would go over Jones. It was pick #15. Not pick 1 or 2.

Of course Gruden wanted to win now to save his job. He wasnt thinking long term needs of the team. How are Keenaum and Mccoy long term QB's needs for the team? No other pick in that first round would have saved his job. DH was the 2nd ranked QB, some people at him 1st on their board. After that year he had at Ohio St. it was justified to take him when you have crap QB's on our roster. It was the #15 pick in the draft not #2. At the time the pick made sense on so many levels. The player didnt pan out b/c of the players fault, not the owners.
