I said at the begining of the season Curl will be that guy we will say wtf who the hell is that and he will be one of our best players
That will be a big question. What to do with Collins next year. I prefer Curl or Reaves.curl is getting there . at the very least he is a quality guy back there and collins better be ready to move to LB . he and moreland have been very good 7th round picks
see i think both of those kids should be our tandem . reaves is mentally sound just needs to playThat will be a big question. What to do with Collins next year. I prefer Curl or Reaves.
Not arguing, what do you do with Collins? He is making a boat load. Didn't like this signing to start with.see i think both of those kids should be our tandem . reaves is mentally sound just needs to play

Coach knows his college football players. He’s been right more often than not. Then there’s this guy named sudfieldIf you said that...great.
Then again, the sun shines on a dog’s...well you know.
and
a broken clock is still right twice a day.
He’s about to make his run I heard...Coach knows his college football players. He’s been right more often than not. Then there’s this guy named sudfield![]()
The defense has certainly played better once Collins was injured. Coincidence? Maybe, but as you point out, Curl and Reaves have seemed to do a better job of playing with in the scheme. This is huge for any defense. That will be a big question. What to do with Collins next year. I prefer Curl or Reaves.
Can’t forget Everett and his boom tackles! The defense has certainly played better once Collins was injured. Coincidence? Maybe, but as you point out, Curl and Reaves have seemed to do a better job of playing with in the scheme. This is huge for any defense.
Astute observation .... which is why I said yesterday in a post .... in PG County terms .... what the f*ck are the WTF going to do with him next year? The defense has certainly played better once Collins was injured. Isn’t an Achilles more than a year recovery? How does the injury clause work for this sitch?Astute observation .... which is why I said yesterday in a post .... in PG County terms .... what the f*ck are the WTF going to do with him next year?
His injury could leak into next year.Isn’t an Achilles more than a year recovery? How does the injury clause work for this sitch?
the injury to collins could be a blessing in disguise for collins . he wasnt playing the scheme as it should be played .. he made statements about not wanting to move to LB . curl is showing he is now an overpriced 3rd wheel .The defense has certainly played better once Collins was injured. Coincidence? Maybe, but as you point out, Curl and Reaves have seemed to do a better job of playing with in the scheme. This is huge for any defense.
you know how much crap i took for saying the CDC trade wasnt good for us ? . mitz got into a war over it . and he is goneHis injury could leak into next year.
What we do not know is how much he would have progressed as the year went on. He reminds me of Lavar, he has skills but he plays outside the scheme.
Deadcap:
2021 - $19 million
2022 - $10 million
2023 - $6 million
Two very bad contracts were Smith and Collins although Smith is trying to be worth the money ... in his own way. Thank you Bruce.

LeVar eh. Interesting. Though imo LaVar had all the attributes you'd want in a weakside backer. He certainly played outside of the scheme. Collins on the other-hand has no business in any type of man coverage 10+ yards beyond the LOS. He gets absolutely ate up in coverage. I don't know if he plays outside the scheme, he simply doesn't the attributes to play in a man cover scheme. His injury could leak into next year.
