Torts was good, but the players really weren't exciting at all. This episode didn't really delve into players that much but from the surface the rags side was a tad boring.

I'm am sure it is more emotional for fans of the team obviously getting to see inside the organization, but from an entertainment standpoint to outsiders it was about a 6/10.

Like I was saying, last years made me like a few players from the caps and pens that I did not want to like. The rangers haven't done that for me. I already did not hate Cally. Dubinsky....just can't stand him. Prust was a little too "Hey look at me I'm on camera!"

I think it will pick up next week.

I agree with most of what you said. I was expecting more from both sides which I think we'll get now that the teams are probably adjusted to having the cameras around. But I still enjoyed it.

Dubinsky was barely in it so I don't know what would have made him be hated more. Hartnell is probably my least favorite Flyer, but his exchange with Cooke made me laugh so he won some points. Prust being the camera whore was surprising I thought it would be Avery out of anyone. I'm hoping they show Girardi more on future episodes, he's pretty funny.

Just finished watching this. I didn't read through the whole thread, but I really enjoyed it. One of my favorite aspects of this show is seeing the coaches. I don't really have any favorite players yet, but I found them all pretty entertaining.

As always, HBO with top notch production values and great music choices. They really do an awesome job of illustrating the epicness of the sport.

I agree with you to a certain extent. Looch tried the good guy routine last season and was non existent on the ice and scoreboard. Maybe it's just being in black and gold, but it's what works for him. Just my .02

Yea, I don't mean it as an insult because I don't like the guys. Just acknowledging the fact they have tremendous talent and they don't seem to use it because they want to be a "tough guy" as well.

But like you said, maybe Lucic needs this routine to tap into hit skills.
