Great show.

- Bryz owns it
- I was looking forward to behind-the-scene Torts and he didn't disappoint
- Both locker rooms seemed pretty good team-wise. Wonder if it was different last year in Philly?
- Consecutive years the leading scorer goes out due to concussion. Giroux looked worried. Hope he recovers quicker than 87.

Little disappointed that we didn't get to see the mess of Philly's room (supposedly) last year.

Torts is a good speaker in front of the camera... Lavi was extremely boring. But Bryz is def the best character of the series so far. Friggin hilarious. That paired with 4706's boogie nights gif of him, dude is awesome.

That show is pure gold. I always watch the boxing 24/7 but the hockey is just so much better because it is not all just prep but actual game action too. I loved Torts going off between periods vs. Toronto.

Even better than last seasons episode. Fucking Simmer... makes me miss him more.

Loved the way Torts ripped into Gaborik. Clear cut, no beating around the bush, just tell it like it is.

Awesome.

Bryz is freaking adorable! He looked so happy when he was talking about the universe.

And Jagr is weird. He was rocking back and forth like he was a mental patient!

Yeah, Holmgren lets me drive the zamboni. Lets me drive it slow. But not on Monday. Definitely not on Monday. I get my sticks at K-mart in Cincinnati. My hockey sticks have my name and it says Jagr.

So far, I gotta say the first season was better. I think the Flyers parts are just as good as Pens/Caps, but the Rangers parts have mostly been a snoozer so far. (save the credit card roulette). That said, it's still a GREAT series and it will probably get a little better. I like when they go inside the players individual lives a little more and I think even in the first season they did that more as the series wore on (and the holidays rolled around).

I hope they keep doing this for years to come, because the narrator and music alone are worth the price of admission. Just look how good this video is using them with some clips thrown together...

I agree. I did not love the Rangers segments. I enjoyed both the Caos and Pens for the most part. Prust was annoying. I hate Dubinsky and he didn't even try to make me like him. Cally seems like a good guy...boring but decent guy. I did enjoy their dinner bill game though.

FIFY

Seriously, I hate this guy as much as Crosby after last night. At least Crosby gets my respect. Prust is the kind of asswipe Id hate as a person, let alone as someone making a ton of money playing for the Rangers.

*Yeah Ill be so funneh for teh HBO camz!!!!!*

"Jeeze Gabby is dat your 6fh beer gosh!!!"

*Looks around like douchebag, realizes nobody found this unfunny statement funny*

So let me get this straight, the Flyers fans only liked the segments with the Flyers. Shocking.

Torts was good, but the players really weren't exciting at all. This episode didn't really delve into players that much but from the surface the rags side was a tad boring.

I'm am sure it is more emotional for fans of the team obviously getting to see inside the organization, but from an entertainment standpoint to outsiders it was about a 6/10.

Like I was saying, last years made me like a few players from the caps and pens that I did not want to like. The rangers haven't done that for me. I already did not hate Cally. Dubinsky....just can't stand him. Prust was a little too "Hey look at me I'm on camera!"

I think it will pick up next week.

Yeah, Avery's fashion shoot didn't help either. You have all these segments of guys from both teams working with kids... and then he's putting on shmedium sweaters and pursing his lips. :failure:

(bias note - Believe me, Reds, in no universe do I want to like the Flyers more than the Rangers. They'll have their moments too I'm sure.)

I liked the Cally segments. I liked that they brought his family into it a bit. Grandma Calahan was precious. <---girl moment

But yeah, Prust and Avery were blech. I liked seeing the Rangers guys in the community, that was cool. A lot of them looked uncomfortable with the cameras though, that will likely wear off by episode 2.
