Agree.

Honestly, with how the Lakers role players have been performing, I'm less concerned about that than I was before the playoffs started. What concerns me, and this is where the Clippers advantage is compared to the Nuggets, the Clippers have 2 guys who can at least bother Lebron and AD. I don't think the Nuggets have anyone who can do that.

Yep and how long can Lou Williams play this bad. That trio is dangerous and like you said, the Clippers have two stars that can defend at a high level. I agree, the Lakers are playing some great basketball but it's just not as good of a matchup. That being said, I think if they played either team it would be a dogfight.

Oh you silly idiot. You came running to Metta's defense for something he did when he wasn't even a Laker. Now that's the epitome of stupidity.

So, in your mind a fight he got into in his past discredits any good will he has performed since? He does a lot for the mental health community.

Yeah. They played like garbage in the 4th.

Don’t like my word choice, fine. But play like that against the Clippers and they will take the L.

It takes 48 minutes against an legit contender.

Are we talking about the same Clippers that can't close out Denver?

There's only a handful of fans in the building and one gets to Westbrook. Real stable, lol.

I remember when he was getting pumped late in the 4th in game 1. He was on a mission...to lose in 5 lol

Russ isn't a superstar and neither is Carmelo

Russ' salary says otherwise. We thought CP3's contract was bad, but it certainly looks better in comparison to Russ' now. Melo is Rondo level at this point, and very valuable at that price point IMO.

Just what they need, a third player that needs the ball in his hands all the time. Or are you trading Westbrick or Beardo for Giannis?

To have a chance at Giannis they would probably have to give up Harden imo...so not happening. And I'm not so sure Westbrick and Giannis is getting you titles in the west, especially with the players they have around those 2 right now.

Clippers get outscored 64-35 in the second half!!

And that's after having a 16 point lead to start the third in a close out game for the Clips!

So let's not under estimate this Nuggs team!

Besides, it's the Nuggs bigs that's giving the Clips problems. Either way, Nuggs or Clips, I think the Lakers biggest problem will be more rust in a Game 1, no matter the opponent.

Come on Vogel, go watch some tape and make up a couple of game plans for success in a G1 dammit! Your Lakers can't keep letting the lead off hitter on base with no outs each series and expect to win the series, the talent is getting deeper!

Sorry Shops, this deserves a 'Winner' rating, not to be had these days....

We all know that Giannis is coming to LA to play with AD and his brother. He will take the LBJ money once they are both FA's...

He has stated multiple times he wants to play with his brother, and I think the Lakers brass hears him load and clear...

I'm not a fan of his becuase of his past actions. Not sure why you and TLF have an issue.

What past actions? Those from 20 years ago, or those more recent years as Shops pointed out, helping with awareness at his own detriment, and bringing awareness to the mental health community?

Rooting for the underdog, and rallying around a story of redemption is the American way Wamu!

Contracts doesn't determine superstar or not imo

I wasn't aware he was doing that. I think it's great bringing awareness. I didin't like his actions on the court. Doesn't matter how long ago it was. They were inexcusable. A legit question though. Why is it the only people that have an issue with my feelings about him happen Lakers fans? I wasn't badmouthing your team. Very strange.

I think a lot of people feel the same way that Lakers fans do, however this IS a Lakers series thread, right?

Duh...

And, there is the fact that during most of his transformation phase as a Lakers player, he was integral securing No. 16...

Yeah, there's that...

Metta will always be beloved by Lakers fans, as he should be ...

His tenure as a Lakers player was the best of the best for the player formerly known as Ron Artest.

Player personnel movements in Houston and, to some extent the rest of the league, are predicated (to a degree) on who the HC is or will be. D'Antoni has already given notice he is not coming back as the coach so I am quite sure, nobody will be moved until the Houston brass settles who the next coach will be.

That being stated, in all probability Vogel will be back as HC of the Lakers and the rumored move of Giannis to the Lakers in the future has a better chance of being a reality because of that and Giannis' desire to play with his brother who is already on the roster. Should be interesting to see how things play out as another rumor of Lonzo Ball returning to the Lakers in the summer of 2021 is gaining traction.
