Madrigal really crapped in the punchbowl tonight with his base running.

That was like a trip back to 2019.

Madrigal needs to slow his roll on the bases until he figures out which fielders he can take an extra base on (although he was safe at the plate despite the call).

Our pitchers need to learn how to not throw sh*t in the dirt, 5 feet outside, pretty much just trying to keep it in the area code of the strike zone would be nice.

Madrigal needs to learn how to run the bases.

Grandal needs to learn how to...catch the ball?!? Sh*t...That was the one thing I DID count on him for. LOL

Because Hahn and Kenny have had hardons for him for a couple years now.

Interestingly enough. I’m starting to like it better when Grandal and McCann play and Encarnacion is the odd man out...sadly I like Encarnacion but he’s been pretty meh. You can get any schlub out there to hit dongs these days so take that sub Mendoza line BS and ride that pine.

Outside of two separate innings in his first and then his previous start - Dane Dunning has had damn near a perfect start to his big league career.

I will be very intrigued to see how he performs when these games become high-pressure late in September and in October.

BTW, thank God we gave ourselves breathing room early. I don't want to be sweating this game because I'm still sour from last night.

I would have agreed with you if this was a couple of weeks ago. But EE has actually been performing solidly as of late. He's also a groove hitter (and a late starter) - so I like our previous alignment and riding him while he's hot. McCann also has never performed when turned into an every day player, but we won't go down that road
