It took top prospects like Yoan, Dansby Swanson, etc. a year or two to get rolling. Luis Robert already looks special out there one week into his career. Extremely exciting.

Stop hitting him 7th, Ricky. This kid isn't scared of shit.

EE and Grandal are historically slow starters. While they're figuring their shit out. Flip flop those two with Eloy and Robert.

4 - Eloy
5 - Robert
6 - Grandal
7 - Edwin

I've got to say Timmy Anderson does not appear to have regressed. He even seems more patient at the plate. On the field he can make spectacular plays and miss routine ones (shakes head sadly side to side).

McCann is another one who appears ready to contribute without regression.

The two things Grandal has to do is get the pitching under control and work longer at bats.

Agreed. It seems ground balls that roll at him often slip under his glove. It's probably a concentration issue and quite fixable, but OTOH, it's also a problem that should have long ago been resolved.

Actually - he reminds me of a guy in High School who was in the habit of making every ground ball snag look like some kind of athletic pose.

For the record - I had many failings as a ball player, but I was the kind of guy who would block he ball with my body if my glove couldn't get there fast enough.

Put simply, he's a great athlete but a fundamentally unsound baseball player.

He's reckless at the dish and at the SS position. His raw ability has overcome that to this point. But it sure would be great if he could discipline himself a little. I mean, offensively, at this point? It's whatever. It's working. Defensively? Something has to give. You have to be better man.

One thing I can do without on MLB broadcasts is that you always get the home announcers. Sometimes they have interesting points of view, but I can't stand it when they go off on jags talking about their players.

Also - the Sox did not have organ music in their opening home stand.

I didn't see the fountain last night - does KC stadium still have the fountain?

I've been a subscriber for a dozen years and didn't know that. I'll check it out.

yep, you can choose either. i almost never listen to the sox announcers as they suck (particularly benetti ... phony over-excitement when the sox do anything well). the announcers for both the twins and indians are pretty good. royals announcers suck. sounds like it's their first jobs.

I sign on through the White Sox website - apparently that doesn't matter it is just set up to default to the home team announcers.
