Imagine a QB opting out.

He'd ruin his career and could cost himself over 100 million dollars in the long-term. Teams couldn't trust them again. To just give up on a season is not a display of leadership.

Other guys can opt out and the team moves on, but QBs make big money. QBs have to stay and play. That's the nature of the beast.
