Nothing , everything and all points in between!!

People have always been everything from brilliant to foolish, typical to atypical (on both ends), kind to cruel, and humane to inhumane since there have been people.

Major parts of our system are broken and there is no will to make corrections. In this case, reporting, undermines due process.

This isn't a funny situation, but one thing I do find humorous and speaks to what you're saying is. In the Dunbar thread there's more than a couple posts with a "RR must have known Dunbar was gonna end up sideways n that's why he didn't sign him." vibe bullshit. Yet I see no one calling him out now for drafting Latimer. Or for the kid who plays OT and has 1st/2nd rd talent, but fell to wherever we drafted him because of off the field issues..

And you can bet dollars to donuts every Skins fan in here calling for the Skins to drop Latimer faster than a hot crack pipe right now. Wouldn't be saying shit resembling anything close to that if this was Chase Young.

Due process is guaranteed in a criminal proceeding. There is no due process in the world of personal affairs.
As for Latimer, he was borderline for this team anyways. He isn’t a star and won’t be missed. In a sane world, it would be best to cut him and be done with it. The world is no longer sane, and if you cut him, that may bring more negative publicity on the franchise than having to deal with a guy that is guilty.

RR never drafted Latimer, and yes cut his ass. Not much of a signing anyway, unless somehow he’s completely innocent (which I doubt is the case) he was up to no good I’m sure. Had it been Chase, can’t lie I’d have to see if he could overcome his issue, it’d still be a tight leash, and he’d definitely be in the doghouse. From the story I read about the skins and Dunbar. Yes, I do believe they foreseen that he was a knucklehead and took the best compensation they good get quickly. John kiem basically said the same

But is it really a bad thing to care less for Latimer than for Young - when we have literally nothing but $137,500 invested in Latimer - his signing bonus when we signed him as a free agent? If it is, then ok... I'm a bad guy.

He was arrested wasn’t he ? I saw the media smear an innocent man in foster . Again latimer and Dunbar could be guilty as sin however the deserve due process

I completely agree they deserve due process in court...not public opinion or the business they conduct.

Not bad at all. We have nothing of note invested in Latimer...Young was the second overall pick. We have far more invested in Young and that gives him more leeway.

You don’t get to smear people in the court of public opinion

Nah, and I'm certainly not above it. I don't think any of us are and I'm not speaking simply about posters or this forum or just about fans. I've also been guilty of the same thing I pointed out about some posters who seemed to think RR was somehow in the know about Dunbar. @MWAR in a post above directed at me is saying that seems to be the case from what he's read and it could well be true. If it is true, I applaud RR in the way he went about handling the situation by not putting dirt on Dunbar's name. It doesn' t always go down like that.

Recall when the Skins signed Djax. Word outta Philly was he was involved in gangbanging activities.Chip Kelly, their HC at the time, seemed to float that idea and Eagles fans ran with it like a somebiitch. Whoever it was though that started that bullshit. I think we can all say that's what it was, bullshit.

At today’s hearing, Cody Latimer's attorney, Harvey Steinberg, told the court he was contacted by law enforcement concerning an investigation of a sexual assault of Latimer's 4-year-old son allegedly perpetrated by an individual at a weekend poker game.

That might explain some things

Who didn’t report the facts? He was in fact arrested. The charges were bullshit because the itch lied. We can’t know that until the investigation is done.
They convicted him before the facts in the press

Who convicted him?

It isn’t irresponsible reporting to say a man was arrested when he was arrested. That isn’t a smear. It is stating a fact.
Please GK the press was against the signing saying he actually did the crime he was accused of . That is smearing him and convicting him . When it turned out it was a lie apologies werent forthcoming

now it turns out one of the people at the poker game may have had sex with his yr old son . That certainly changes things
