My nephew had a compound fracture in one of the two bones in his lower leg, had to have a steel rod inserted and never played again. It ended his college football career.

I know what he is going through, and I feel for him. 5 years ago I was in a car accident that the trauma Doc told me that 95% of people would not have survived. I lost the bottom 3 inches of the Tibia and Fibula, and I fractured the top bone of the foot. I completely lost my right ankle joint. Having to completely rely on other people to do everything for you is hard. I hope he gets back to doing what he loves someday.

I do have problems walking, and I use a cane at times. A few years ago I found a website that makes lightsaber canes and I got one. It lights up and has the saber sounds. Pretty sweet.
