Do you guys remember how miserable you would feel on Mondays after a Skins loss?

Do you remember how you didn't even want to watch SportsCenter or talk about football?

Do you remember how you didn't even begin to come out of your funk until around Wednesday?

Remember how devastating it was to lose going into a bye and having to sit on that loss for two weeks?

Fast forward to today. Think how you felt yesterday after one of the most embarrassing losses of the season.

If you are like me you were almost hoping we had got beaten even worse, in the small hope that the more embarrassing the loss the greater chance it would have to affect real change.

Sportster and jy...........there is a real shot this city could move on from this team. I hear what you were trying to tell me a couple of weeks ago.

If Dan brings Bruce back after 1-15, he'll lose the city.

It’s pathetic, how far this franchise has fallen.

it’s also completely unacceptable, especially in light of the THREE (Mystics included) Championships that DC teams have enjoyed in the last 18 months.

The city isnt cursed, it’s just the Redskins.

I’ve even taken to watch more Ravens games instead. They completely changed their offensive philosophy in two years, drafted well, and are absolutely delightful to watch play.

Their dismantling of the Patriots was a thing of beauty!

Its not acceptable for my Orioles to be as fucking terrible as they are, OR for the Redskins, who have been abysmal for longer.

Make no mistake: the Jets are a terrible football team, and they spanked the Redskins at home in front of an empty stadium filled mostly with Jets fans.

And I’m sure that the prevailing sentiment amongst the old timer fans was - numb.

The real shit is the attendance numbers at Fed Ex, and how many tix were bought by opposing fans, as evidenced by the jerseys worn.

If you are still going to the games and the draft parties you are not helping. I know I probably stepped on some toes with that comment, but it's the truth.

There is literally no chance in hell I'd brave Manhattan / Jersey traffic to sit at a shitty stadium in the Meadowlands to watch the Redskins play.

Oh, I think the city, to a certain extent, has moved on. And you have detailed it exactly. Those of us life long fans have become apathetic. I didn't even watch the game sunday. I just don't care right now (at least not like I used to). Am I gone forever? If there were change that might give me hope again, probably not. But I don't see that happening because it would involve a change in ownership most likely. So as every season that goes by that the Redskins are an embarrassment, the more apathetic I will become until I am no longer even a casual fan. The fact that I am here on this forum tells you I am not there yet.........but its coming.
