The only way taking a TE makes sense for the Lions is if Chase Young is also available so we can pass on him

It is based on fact. Eric Ebron top 10 TE over Aaron Donald. TJ Hockenson top 10 TE over Ed Oliver.

Lions won't spend a top 10 pick on a position they don't even use all that often, unless there is all pro level Dline available.
