Actually, MSU DID slow them down for over a quarter. Unfortunately, the tOSU D took care of business and gave the O time to get going.

tOSU has yet to face a good offense IMO. Until them I can't crown the defense as being real good. And in looking at the rest of their schedule, they may not face but a couple in that group.

tOSU offense does look pretty strong and balanced. MSU did slow them down a little until their offense couldn't stay on the field any length of time. Sparty's defense may have caved in anyway at some time. But I agree they did slow them down a for a while. Sparty can play the d.

Michigan St dominated that 1st quarter, they played possessed. Day needs to get a lot of the credit as well, he is becoming an offensive genius. This has been the best defense I have seen in awhile, still have some bumps at times so hopefully they can continue to improve and show what they are made of vs better offenses.

Little sisters of the poor were bashing us for big plays last year. This year we’ve yet to give up a big play. But we’ve got the clear cut favorite best DE in the country in Chase Young and a loaded secondary with another Top 10 pick in Okudah and two other first rounders. I agree they haven’t been tested though, but everyone knows we’re vastly improved on defense this year, mainly due to better LB play and new schematics playing a zone.

He can coach at Ohio but he’s not made to be the HC for big time football.
There’s a reason you don’t see any P5’s calling him.

And in my opinion, hiring Steve Pederson as AD was the biggest mistake in Nebraska football history.
