Why are Utah and USC playing on a Friday?

The genius that is Larry Scott pits Utah/USC on a Friday night...Now the shine of this game has worn off given USC's troubles with injuries and overall coaching, but when this game was scheduled there was talk of USC/Utah being for the PAC-12 South.....so let's put them on Friday night.

Was it last year USC and Wazzu played in Pullman on a Friday night? Or was that two years ago? Nonetheless, the conferences top branded programs should not be playing on Friday nights.

Sucks for the pac, but it's amazing for football fans. We literally get football from 11am CST until we pass out that night. When i go to a UT home game i love getting back to the hotel and finishing these pac games.

No doubt it sucks for them. I personally do not stay up that late anymore, id be lucky to make it to half time on a 9PM game

Alabama played @ Southern California on Friday Night (Sept. 10) in 1971! As a matter of fact, the Trojans often played on Friday Night back in the day when they shared the Coliseum with both UCLA and the Rams. Plus, the Miami Hurricanes played Friday Night Home Games in the 70s - when they shared the old Orange Bowl with the Dolphins! Personally, I have always liked Friday Night Games. Something cozy about them. Better than Thursday Night + you still have the entire day on Saturday for other games!

Utah is currently 246-253-12 (.492) all-time when playing on the road. Utah has only won one game in Los Angeles against the Trojans when the Utes won 27-12 in 1916, which was the second game in the all-time series against USC after beating them at home in 1915.

i will disagree with some here. Since it is on Friday night, there is a good chance I will watch it.

I would take a pic but am currently re arranging but my couch is flanked by 26" TV's and then the main 70 is mounted on the wall. Similar setup but the smaller tv's being closer have a similar FOV as the 70"

Also a Weeknight game but instead of Friday it's on a Monday. Point is ND not immune and even had a worse night to have a game scheduled in my oh so humble opinion. Friday kinda sucks but a monday wold really suck. .
