why is this map and concept always so hard for people to understand?
Its funny how the outrage over this seems to be only Wisconsin fans.

Whut. I think it's kind of neat. Means nothing and is kind of creative.
I didn’t say this upsets all Wisconsin fans, just all the people upset by this are Wisconsin fans.

Maybe a test to separate the wheat from the chaff. The British Badger is a humorless curmudgeon.

Well, you don't understand it either. Don't have to travel to get land

Unless you win the same amount of land if you beat Troy as you do if you beat Alabama .Yes I do. Most SEC teams might play one big boy OOC school thats some distance away with a good size amount of land to earn. The rest of your OCC games you play kent states and Samfords and Citadels where even when you win you might earn a square mile. So other than one game your conference games are your only real opportunity to earn good sized chunks.
So if you win a big chunk the State of Alabama if you beat Troy then I take it back.

Depends on when the game is. Troy has the biggest piece of Alabama lol

its a similar concept to the game RISK which i think has been a pretty successful game. win get the land.
The issue is that the starting point bears no resemblance to where actual fan bases are. Or did you grow up cheering for the D1 school that was fewest miles from your county?

If you start with a silly assumption, then it doesn’t matter “how it works”. A Risk board makes a lot more sense.

You also just get huge territories out west because no one lives there, but those teams don’t have many fans.

The other is that the order of the schedule probably matters too much, but that’s a more minor point.

You've made your point, now put a hat on and cover your point after that you may leave.

Oh look, a Wisconsin fan crying because they don’t like how this is. Color me shocked. You are right, there absolutely zero Wisconsin fans in the upper peninsula in Michigan because they are closer to Wisconsin than Michigan State is.

I agree. Nor are people in Milwaukee fans of Northwestern.
