I’m having a beer while in Tahoe watching a band play and septimus (band) and old devil dawg (beer) post. All is right with the world.
Okay, I get Utah being ranked, but 8th seems a little high to me.
8. Utah
14. TCU
Phil Steele's 2019-2020 Preseason Top 25
(based on how he thinks teams will finish up the season, not how they will be ranked to start the season)
1 Alabama
2 Clemson
3 Michigan
4 Georgia
5 Oklahoma
6 Ohio St
7 LSU
8 Utah
9 Notre Dame
10 Florida
11 Texas
12 Oregon
13 Mich St
14 TCU
15 Miami
16 Washington
17 Texas A&M
18 Auburn
19 Nebraska
20 Penn St

I don't want any high rankings given to Michigan ... we need to earn it or shut the fuck up!!
10 Florida
11 Texas
True. But I'm wondering if his thinking with Iowa State is the same as with Utah, TCU, etal and comes under the heading of "someone has to occupy these positions". And when he looks at some of the other options, these teams look better than the rest of 'em he has to choose from! JMO.I think Matt Campbell has done a great job in Ames but Iowa St lost basically their entire skill position roster ( save QB ) and they went 7-6 last year .
I'm not saying they won't be decent but a .500 team with poor historical recruiting that needs to replace so much being top 20ish is a real stretch .
Possible . ISU does return a lot on both lines and on D. I just think it's tough for teams who don't consistently churn out NFL talent to replace multiple NFL players . It'd be different if they'd been 10-3 last year but losing so much off a 7-6 team is toughTrue. Looks like the spam that was on aisle #8 has been deleted. Just my garbage is there now.Clean up on aisle #8.
No Wisconsin, or Northwestern. Looks like he's got Nebraska winning the Big 10 West at #19 and Iowa at #23.
Harbaugh promised Phil his own sleepover if he favored Michigan higher than normal.Note that he has Michigan at #3, ahead of Ohio State and only behind Alabama and Clemson.

all of the above, except Harbaugh wants to be the recipient of the Three handed shoulder and butt massage.Does it come with tummy rubs or just the usual three handed shoulder/butt massage.

I think Michigan is a legitimate 3 this year. Solely based on schedule and who they have returning compared to their division.
Ohio State is changing coaches
Penn State has a few questions to answer
Michigan State seems to be trending downward recently
Michigan returns all but 1 starter on Offense
Michigan returns all but 3 starters on Defense
They were 10-3 last year with 2 bad losses to end the season. Before that they were 10-1. I think this is the first year the hype is legitimate for them largely because of Urban's departure from tOSU. This is a program that has won 10 games 3 of the past 4 seasons. It isn't like they haven't perform well they just haven't performed great yet.
They get 3 key games at home. Notre Dame, Michigan State and Ohio State with road trips to Wisconsin and Penn State. The rest of their schedule is a breeze. They could even drop the game to Notre Dame and still have no Big 10 ramifications in doing so.
Yes they do. Mason at Fullback has a few starts and was swapped in a lot. He wasn't the full time starter sure. But he did have starts at the position and played a ton. They don't return that many starters on offense or defense.
Yes they do.
