This tells two stories. The first story is how the NFL sees the safety position. Safety should not be a highly compensated position which is why so many "good" safeties are available.

The 2nd story is how badly the FO sucks at finding a safety.

Lastly should the team pay way too much for Collins or Mosley I am in full support of changing the name as many have advocated. They should be renamed the Alabama Redskins and move to Birmingham.

So would I be a Richard to point out, signing Keenum might be the tank for a high first rounder script at play?? Smith is probably done, but they cant afford to cut him. This years QB class is not all that sexy. If they start out 0-3 to 0-4, you plug in Keenum and let the season suck out to be in a position to do the QB pick in 2020 draft.
