Alabama has won 12 NCs in the poll era, 50% more than the next best program. Whether they did it with what you consider “good” quarterbacks, so what? Purdue and Stanford have produced plenty of good NFL QBs. What good did that do them?

On that last point I agree. We just need to own it that our schools have been less than stellar producing NFL caliber QBs. Maybe Haskins and Tua change things up.

That said, if I'm an NFL team or a fan I don't care where a QB played college ball. If I like him, I'll take him. I think Baker and Mahomes should have taught everyone this.

Whether Tua is or isn’t a good NFL QB has nothing to do with any other Alabama QB. He (just like the team) got WAY too much hype too early. I never was a big fan of the accolades being handed out for beating bad to mediocre teams.

All of that said, he CLEARLY played hurt against UGA. That game wouldn’t be useful in evaluating him. The CFPCG was a different story. Humbling for the entire team. I can only hope they learned the proper lesson. Ditto for the pundits.

I don't get why people still think it matters where a QB played. Should teams have passed on Wentz and Watson because there are so few successful Clemson and of course NDSU QBs in the NFL?

Fact is other than Cal and maybe NC State, there are really no schools I can think of who produced multiple elite level QBs this millennium. Probably could go back to 1990 and this might be no different.

Lets just set the record straight.

Rival posters aren't special. You aren't the first mass exodus of a forum to come to this one. In fact, 90% of the posters on this forum came from another forum that closed down, kicked them out, or whatever. A few of us happened to come from other methods, but you can generally tell what forum another poster originally came from based on their sign up date. People near my date for example are people who probably came from CBS.

People have come from ESPN, other forums and so on. SportsHoopla is kind of like the America of the sports forum world, a huge melting pot. Everyone for the most part is welcome, nobody really gives a shit.

The difference is, you fucks can't seem to let your old forum go. Do you see a bunch of people going around calling themselves "CBS posters", or "ESPN posters". Fuck no - because that shit is just lame and weird. You can ask them and they will tell you where they came from, but there is none of this that comes from "rivals posters".

In other words, get the fuck over yourselves and assimilate or go back to where you came from. It's been months now and if you are still hanging on to your ex that much, then go write them a fucking letter professing your love for them in the hopes of taking you back or something.
