I like him, but I think there are better guys out there. I think this team needs an outside voice with all the desention that took place on that side of the ball. Remember, it wasn't just DJ. Norman called out the fans. Foster called out the organization and fans, and Zach went to the media a few times as well.

That said, I think that might be what happens if Manusky is let go. I could see that.
And...Mason Foster and Norman can go too.

I agree. Where do you start? Knowing Snyder, probably with the concession guys. And Guice. It’s all his fault.

I know he left on bad terms, but money talks. I'd take Gregg over Bowles all day, and I really like Bowles. If Dan could find a way to get Gregg back here as DC and asst HC, I'd feel a lot better about 19.

Williams won’t come beat unless he is HC . What he was promised

Williams would never come back here as long as Snyder is here. Williams can't stand the little pecker and Snyder knows that he can't control Williams. Not gonna happen. Williams will have better offers if he isn't the HC of the Browns.

I am sure that your plan will be a good one. I have had related discussions lately with friends and family. The problem is that there likely is huge difference in what any plan SHOULD be and what the plan WILL be. Discussions on plans & strategy on forums like this are fun & interesting, but w/ a messed up organization like the Redskins they seldom match reality. Snyder would go a very, very long way if we were to start by making the token gesture of firing Allen.

Unfortunately I don't see it happening. In the past it was stated that the major motivation for retaining Allen was his connections & ability to assist w/ any new stadium deal, Now even that doesn't make any sense because at this rate there won't be any fans to sit in that stadium. This organization is at an all time low & the owner needs to get off his ass & at least give the appearance that he gives a shit & make some type of relevant moves. Screw talks about the next stadium, the team name, the PR plan, etc. What the hell is this clown going to do to actually address the product on the field. Cmon Dan - do something.

Guys I would replace Gruden with: Tomlin and maybe Saban.

Neither one of those guys would take this job imo, because if they were free, they would have much better options.

The Skins are on the 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 hamster wheel. This is the worst place to be. You are not good enough to make the playoffs and even if you do, you are one and done.

You are not bad enough to get franchise players like Barkley who just wen for 2K in his rookie year. This team doesn't have any stars. They don't have any players on either side of the ball that the other coaches have to gameplan for.

So you can fire Gruden, blow it up, get to 3-13 and put your eggs in Bruce Allen's basket to build us a winner. Hahahahaha

Or

You can look at it as a 500. team that has led the league in injuries two years in a row and you blew up something that was a healthy season away from being an 11-5 team and making some noise.

There are arguments for both.

Good analysis. However IMO the injuries and the record this season are highly overstated. With the exception of the win in the 1st Boys game the Redskins wins were against terrible teams who wound up with awful records. Almost all of their losses were blowouts where the defense sucked in spite of having minimal injuries.

Time to stop sugar coating this - this is a terrible team w/ a handful of good players (AP, DL, a few OL players, Kerrigan, etc). We were fooled early in the season by decent results against pathetic teams, I just hope that the team realizes this & plans accordingly, but hope is something that is in short supply for this team. HTTR

And that's why I don't reach for a QB in a bad QB class. We have holes everywhere. Best player available at 15. Hell, I know Gruden hates guards, but look at what Quinton Nelson did for Luck and that Colts o line. Plugged him in next to Kelly and that is a different team and Luck is Andrew Luck again.

I say all that to say even a Cody Ford should be on the table at LG. We are not a QB away.

Now as far as this thread goes, I would love to get Bowles in here and I agree Williams only comes to be the HC. However, what if Zimmer gets fired? He coached with Jay in Cincinnati and is a hardass. That's the guy to watch.

On defense, redskins need to replace all their LB's and DB's. That will take years if at all.

Word is he's Arians' number one choice for DC if Arians gets the Tampa job. They coached together in AZ.

Well, hopefully sooner, because I don't want to find myself in this position when they do!
