They should change the name too. If you're gonna be named after a fish and play in Miami, at least be a main fish species in Miami. Marlin are the 10th biggest fish population in Miami.

Miami Swordfish
Miami Snappers
Florida Kingfish
Miami Sharks
Florida Sharks

If you're gonna change the logo, the color scheme, the uniforms and the ballpark attractions, just throw it up in the air and change it all! lol

Dude, it's gotta be Miami Sharks like Any Given Sunday.

I actually completely buy this, they should do a total reboot, change the name the colors, just do it. Why not, it's not like some hallowed storied franchise, and they don't exactly have a rabid fanbase. Why not be an expansion team, in the same location? Who says no? Jeter should go ape crazy bananas with this.

The Marlins used to have great home uniforms in the 2000's. Back, turquoise, pinstripes, with some silver. They looked fantastic, especially under the lights at night.

I'll get me a new Marlin hat most likely.

That sculpture has to go. Nobody will ever take their stadium seriously with that thing there.

But they need to go back to being the men of teal. Those teal uniforms were sharp.

new logs and shit being announced today.

Looks like they are going back to primarily teal unis, which I am pretty happy with. I always liked the Marlins colors before the move to Miami.

I always liked the teal unis, too. Back when I used to work for Russell Corp., I helped color match the logos for both the Marlins & the Diamondbacks before their uniforms were dyed, sewn & shipped. I became an instant fan of both teams before they played their first baseball games. But I don't keep up with baseball much these days (except for the college game).

Also, they are getting rid of the HR sculpture...

I like the two logos on the right side. All those bright colored, Mexican color schemes look like shit.

disagree with this.

next thing you will want to change the Toronto Raptors...

I thought I heard that the Raptors are named that because there were a lot of fossil raptors found up there. I could be wrong though. I don't know much about basketball because it sucks ass.

The Marlins teal changed a few years into their existence. First bright teal with a teal cap, then a darker teal with a black hat. I guess a black cap sells more.

I like when all teams from a city wear the same colors, like DC (minus the Redskins) and Pittsburgh.

I think they may be the only ones, right?

Haven't had Marlin yet, I've had Swordfish and that is very tasty. Looks weird but taste good!

They're very similar - a "meaty" fish. I love both. Might lean toward Marlin because it's so hard to find in restaurants.
