1. None of our games have been "fun" this year. Every single game has been "grind it out" and frustrating. Not many of the players look like they're enjoying it either. Not the post SB year I expected at all.

2. Our O PPG (22) and D PPG (20) Are right back where they were in 2016. Inexcusible considering the talent on the squad has improved.

3. We're forcing less than a turn over per game.

4. Schwartz D may not give up a lot of points, but he's got to go. I didn't like him in '16. the O hid his D in '17 and with us playing like 2016 (in some cases worse), I would not be sad to see him go. He's just not aggressive enough for the talent we came into the season with. QB's should be scared of our DL. Butinstead of the DL eating QBs for lunch, the QBs are eating massive yards on 3rd & 4th and long.

5. In that same vein, remember the buzz coming in about Fletcher Cox chasing DPOY? Forget about it. Maybe when we get a real DC, he'll have a real shot. Todd Bowles will probably be available. So is Spags. I might give McDermott a 2nd chance when he becomes available.

6. Injuries aren't an excuse for our struggles. We had as many last year.

7. Said it in the game thread and somebody in the media is finally picking it up Wentz throws don't allow WRs to get ANY YAC EVER. To make a catch Receivers have to dive or fall down a lot, reminding me of McNabb. At the same time, Wentz is often throwing to guys that are blanketed. We almost never have guys wide open. I expected different with the addition of Tate last night. Also Carson is now 1-9 when he has the ball last with a chance to win or tie. The 1 win was vs The Giants and the 61 yd FG. Wentz did make an incredible throw to Alshon to set that up.

8. Bruce Arians is sitting at home saying the Browns HC is the only job he'd come out of retirement for. This signals to me he's not really retired. I wonder what it would take to bring him in here as OC. He'd have way less responsibility and stress on him. Arians was who i wanted when we got Doug.

9. Doug's presser last night unnerved me. He looked lost and confused and without any answers.

10. I thought i remembered Wentz audibling a lot last year, especially on 3rd down...so much so it led to speculation as to whether or not Dougs play calls were actually any good. I don't see wentz audible much. He clearly should have on that one 4th and inches play where we ran. It looked awful from the time they broke the huddle.

Bonus: Its a good thing we chip'd last year. I'd be way more upset and calling for Dougs head if we didn't.

Schwartz is a horrible defensive coordinator who cannot adjust when his scheme is figured out. Teams know he is the best dlineman we have. Teams are keeping extra blockers in and that is what is hurting our pass rush. Every play it is 6 blocking 4 with Cox being doubled. We get pressure every time they do not keep an extra blocker. Teams are realizing this and they adjust to it in the second half which is why we collapse. Yesterday's game is further proof. We sat in zone the entire second half and did not disguise it.

7. Said it in the game thread and somebody in the media is finally picking it up Wentz throws don't allow WRs to get ANY YAC EVER. I think it is unfair to say Wentz is 1-9 but instead should say the team is 1-9 because Wentz put the team in positions to win several of the games we lost late. Take yesterdays game. We started off slow. He is not the person that allow the Cowboys to score 27 points but this is what he does in the 2nd half yesterday. He gets the ball in the 3rd and scores to tie the game. The Cowboys score again.....He drives and scores again. The Cowboys score AGAIN....He drives and if not for a brilliant defensive play by the Cowboys he could very well have kept that drive going but he executed his part of the play perfectly. So it is now 4th and 7 and those conversions are not easy. The Eagles convert 58% of 4th down which is middle of the pack but are better than some of the better NFL QB's like Brady, Ryan, Rodgers, Goff

Given the fact that he is only in his 3rd year and has been playing great giving the fact that he is less than a year removed from tearing his ACL/LCL I am willing to bet that most HOF'ers and those that are guaranteed to be in the hall did not have great closing game records either.

No way he takes an OC position anywhere.

We are passing so much if he audibled it would be to a run and given the way things are and the position we are in it just does not seem to be viable. Last year we ran the ball so much more which gave him opportunities to audible to more pass plays when he sees the defense cheating for the run. This year we have no deep threat and everyone is playing closer to the line.

Brady and Rodgers were not come from behind kings either early in their careers. It is easy to point it out after they have establisehd HOF careers.

I don't even see Schwartz TRYING to adjust. He runs that same damn sticks coverage every time we are in third and long, and it doesn't work half the time. His schemes are so vanilla people know how to beat them, especially as a game goes along and you get into the third and fourth quarter. Because he never changes what he is showing! It's a joke.

I am concerned about the offensive coaching as well. I don't see the creativity of last season. I think we miss Frank Reich a lot more than I expected us to.

I like this thread. It is not so much $.02 as it is $.26...kind of like when I make a post.

I was going to share a long thread on some of the points made...but this post beat me to it on every count.

I think Wentz is not 100% right yet. Plain and simple. I think he is not fully capable and it is an attempt to cover for it. Combine not being 100% yet, even mentally. Wentz is tough as shit and shows no waffling when there is pressure around him or his legs. To me that doesn't mean its not effecting him in his head. Combine that with the line giving him a defensive lineman in his face so quickly and the throws don't have time to develop, nor do I think they give time for him to "throw guys open" to a degree.

It is all a big cluster fuck of a mess....but there is lots playing in. I will just believe that another year of getting healthier and stronger will help Wentz. Any help they can get for the line going into next year helps too. With time and more work perhaps he is back to throwing guys more open. And perhaps with that we see they did have him on bumpers this year. He starts rolling our more, he starts audibling more and he looks much more like 2017.

In the meantime the D needs addressing. I am ready to see Schwartz go at year end. Bowles will be out there....and I like that. I would also be open to McDermott. Buffalo has been a disaster....but that he has put together a really solid D there, much like he did in Carolina. Spags is an unknown at this point. And I just cannot see Arians coming out for an OC...nor am I sure I would want that at this point. But it calls out a good point. OC might just need to be addressed this offseason too.

My .02¢; Pederson is nothing without Reich and Flip. His flame flamed out fast.

I think that Josh McDaniels hurt us big time by backing out of the Colts job how he did. Reich should be their coach and we could have promoted DeFilippo to OC. There just weren't any great options out there to replace them. This year we can hopefully dump Schwartz and get a good OC in here to help.

I can not stand guarding the stick when it is 3rd or 4th and long. It is like playing Rover Red Rover send your best player with blocking on over. He also is not capable of making half time adjustments.

We have a lot of injures but our offense would be much better if we focused on the run game. I see Adams get a couple good runs and then he is out and Smallwood comes in and we do the same thing to him. None of our backs get going this way. RPO's or play action do not work if the defense does not think you are going to run!

I know, nothing anyone else hasn't said already but I am just frustrated. hehe

Our Defense has 7 total takeaways this year ... only Tampa and San Fran are worse in causing turnovers than the Philly D. That falls squarely on Schwartz for a crappy scheme. We're not bad in the Sack department with 26 (league best is 31) ... which means we should be jamming receivers instead of giving up loads of cushion. I can't wait till Schwartz gets the boot.

Schwartz will be done after we get throttled by the Saints next week in the dome. I will not watch that massacre. I'm curious what the spread will be?

Jordan Hicks has been healthy but quiet all year. He does have a lot of tackles and 3 sacks, but he's made more plays in less games in the past.

It would be great if we can add Arians as the OC, and Spags as the DC, after this season.

No different than that stupid ass sticks play he calls on long yardage situations. Teams figured it out and he still calls it.

I am not looking forward to the next game. The Saints are going to demolish the Eagles.

So Jim Schwartz says that his "Sticks" defense has not given up a single first down in 3 years.

More Josh Adams, the ‘picket fence’ defense, and preparing for Drew Brees | Early Birds

"On third-and-longs, the Eagles sometimes play a "sticks" or "picket fence" defense in which the defensive backs line up at the marker and try to keep the ball in front of them. That formation has drawn the ire of some fans on social media, but defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said Tuesday the Eagles "haven't given up one first down in three years playing that defense."

Yeah....sooooo...I have been dead set in my mind that you don't get rid of a Coordinator during season without a damn solid body of work for reason. And I just have not felt we were there with this guy (no matter how bad it has looked).

But....with this fucking nonsensical bullshit.....I am getting much much much closer to seeing it just making sense to boot his ass now.
