For the 4th year in a row, I bring to you a neutral voice to the world of college basketball. Nowadays, here's how a CBB season works:

Part 1: November and December (Or as I call it "The Fun Phase"! We're all just learning about all of these teams, but there ARE some cool-looking games to watch, so let's just have fun with them.)
Part 2: Early January to mid-February (This is where conference play begins for most teams. It's also when you should just stop complaining, sit down, and see if your team's a contender or not.)
Part 3: Late February onwards (It's time to get serious. To play your way in [or out] of the NCAA's...)

And I'm just here to give you guys the games worth watching, and some other CBB stories worth watching. And give credit to the schedule makers; this season they're not wasting any time as we're getting the "Champions Classic" on the very first day. And more is coming shortly...

Tuesday, November 6th

It's all about the "Champions Classic" to start off this season, with Michigan State vs. Kansas and Duke vs. Kentucky. That's all you need!

...But if you are a weirdo who doesn't want to watch that, here are the other big games you can watch on this opening day:

St. Francis (PA) @ Buffalo (4:00) [the first official Division 1 game of the 2018-19 season]
North Carolina @ Wofford (7:00)
UNC-Greensboro @ North Carolina A&T (7:30)
Louisiana Tech @ Wichita State (8:00)
South Alabama @ Auburn (9:00)
Fort Wayne @ UCLA (9:00)
Florida @ Florida State (9:00)
UMBC @ Marquette (9:00)
Western Kentucky @ Washington (10:30)
BYU @ Nevada (11:00)

And finally, I need to remind you that all of the times I will list on my threads throughout the season are Eastern standard time (Saves me the hassle of typing that up over and over again).

11/6 recap

So in the "Champions Classic" we got Michigan State looking good, Kansas looking even better, and Duke circles around everybody with all of their new faces. Sounded like fun!
Oh, and here are some other notable results on Opening Day:

Top 25:
Nevada over BYU 86-70
North Carolina over Wofford 78-67
Washington over Western Kentucky 73-55
Florida State over Florida 81-60

Other games:
Stony Brook over George Washington 77-74 in OT [The first OT game of the season]
Penn over George Mason 72-71
NJIT over Colgate 81-78 in OT
Campbell over UNC-Wilmington 97-93 in OT
Louisiana Tech over Wichita State 73-58 (It'll all depend on what La-Tech does during the rest of the season, but this could be a bad "Whoopsie" loss for Wichita.)
Arizona State over CS-Fullerton 102-94 in 2-OT's (Actually caught a little bit of this game!)
Loyola-Chicago over UMKC 76-45
Texas Southern upsets Baylor 72-69 (Whoopsie)
New Mexico over CS-Northridge 87-84

November 7th and 8th

So the season is now officially underway... and the next 2 days are not Saturdays. That's why you need a guide like this; something that'll cut through all the BS to find you the GOOD games on any given day. So here's what the next 2 days has for us:

Today:
Game of the Day: Ohio State @ Cincinnati [6:00]

Bucknell @ St. Bonaventure (7:00)
CSU-Bakersfield @ TCU (9:00)
Savannah State @ Texas A&M (9:30)

Tomorrow:
Morehead State @ UConn (7:00)
Game of the Day: Evansville @ Illinois (8:00)
Northwestern State @ SMU (8:00)

Hmmm... Maybe I'll come back around Friday. I heard that things will pick up again by that time.

I'm watching Ohio State/Cincinati. Nothing spectacular but still a decent match to watch on Night 2 of the season.

11/12 recap

I honestly don't know what that post from @BoiseStateFan27 was all about, but let's see if his Broncos screwed up again yesterday:

North Carolina over Stanford 90-72
Kansas State over Denver 64-56
Buffalo over Southern Illinois 62-53 (So Buffalo wins it's first game as a ranked team since... well, ever.)
Pittsburgh over Troy 84-75
USF over Austin Peay 74-70 in OT
Duquesne over Illinois-Chicago 89-88 in OT
Washington over San Diego 66-63
Minnesota over Utah 78-69

Oh, wait... Boise State's next game is Friday (against Jackson State). Honest mistake, @BoiseStateFan27. Won't happen again.
