Why didn't they check on the runner, pitch out, or something when the Cubs brought in a pinch runner? Dude was obviously brought in to get into scoring position

2 outs just focusing on the hitter. But I would have thrown over....everyone knew he was stealing....and then when He stole 2nd I would have IBB Baez.
