Cal???

not sure where that hype is from

New Mexico will be really good

St. Johns should be ranked.

how did Michigan get up to #7???

otherwise I'll take their word for it, I haven't really paid much attention since I looked at who left for the draft.

Cal has a trio of guys that I guess could each be Pac-12 Player Of The Year. St. John's is going to be freshmen heavy. They could work their way in by the middle of the year. I don't get Michigan either. As far as Gonzaga, that seems about right. Harris needs to bounce back, and our freshmen class needs to be as good as advertised, but I think we'll be back in the Dance.

I think last year was just a one year down year, Gonzaga will be good again.

Ohio State is going to be really good with Sullinger and a few others back

Baylor if they can fix their issues could be a sleeper to win it all.

Butler lost a lot of people but they should be ranked based on the fact that they are an incredible tournament team, they only lost one tournament game last year, it was the big one sadly.

Already?? JFC, football just started.

That being said, I constantly watched bball growing up. Hopefully, Iowa gives me something to cheer about this year.

Fuck North Carolina.

yeah I'm hoping the same for Boise State, Rice from Gonzaga did an awesome job in his first year and has already breathed life into the program, he brought in our best recruiting class ever this offseason, the future looks bright, in what is becoming a crowded MWC, because while this year looks like a down year and the conference will be all New Mexico, San Diego State and UNLV will be decent and make the tournament.

the future is going to be great for the conference

Colorado State has improved greatly
San Diego State will get even better
Wyoming will soon be good
Boise State will be as well
Nevada when they join have a shot at being decent as well.

Plus versus(which I found out will be named NBC sports network during the season) will be covering like half the Boise State games which is awesome!

last year I only got 3 chances to see us play.

I'm surprised Bama is ranked, be we definitely upgraded our OOC schedule. Hopefully we can finally make it back to the big dance.

Re:

I think a couple of SEC teams that we beat are ranked higher than the Hogs. What's up with that?

St. Mary's is too high. With McConnell gone, they lose a lot as evidenced by how poorly the Gaels did last season when McConnell had stinkers. I'm surprised that Brigham Young isn't in the top 40. I know they lost Jimmer (and thank God for that so I don't have to listed to announcers talk about him all season long) but they still have some other good players who are returning, plus they get the sinner Davies back (I say sinner tongue in cheek). Gonzaga will all depend on Harris and Sacre this season. Probably the last go around for both. If they are dominant the Zags will be tough to beat.

My only request is that none of: North Carolina, Duke, Connecticut, Michigan State, Florida, Kentucky or Kansas win the title this year. Let's see some new blood.

Oh and Pitt should be barred from the top 25 until they can make it to the sweet 16. Round of 32 is not gonna cut it.

Right now, Ohio Sate is probably my favorite to win it all, John. Sullinger and Buford will be a great 1-2 punch. And you know Matta always recruits well.

Yeah, it very well could happen this year. Ohio State is stacked. I remember watching them dismantle Wisconsin last year and then saw them play a couple more times in the Big10 tournament and they looked about as unbeatable as any college team that season. I remember thinking to myself "how is anyone gonna beat this team." Then they ran into Kentucky. But it was a good learning experience for them. If they come into this season even hungrier because of that, they very well might win it all.
