Before we have sweetened the deals with extra prospects so that our trading partner could help us financially. I wonder if those roles could be reversed this year since we have such low payroll.

Good point but they may be stockpiling cash for the offseason before new park. I hope you are right though

Unfortunately, our pitching numbers - lack thereof - relate similarily to our hitting. But for me, I'm more disappointed in the offense than than the D b/c I expected the arms to fare poorly.

That's the crux of the matter, to me... the pitching has actually been a shade BETTER than expected, while the hitting is about three rungs down on the ladder than it should be.

Further, we cannot be giving up prospects. I'd much rather see us eat money in a trade for Hamels/Choo, etc
