That's very good. If you don't speak your mind and ignore problems that's when trouble begins. In the 1930's, the US focused on isolationism. We could have made a difference and stopped Hitler before he became too powerful. But we didn't.

Playing an active role in world affairs is the most important thing the US can do.

That's very good. If you don't speak your mind and ignore problems that's when trouble begins. In the 1930's, the US focused on isolationism. We could have made a difference and stopped Hitler before he became too powerful. But we didn't.

Playing an active role in world affairs is the most important thing the US can do.

I would say they are the leading power. However any comparison to Nazi Germany would be a horrible mistake. They've been very friendly to us since the end of WW2.
