The best ones would start going after all the QB, LT, DE, CB, 3-4 OLB, RT, WR1 went. They’d go with the less important positions like G, S and TE

I'd go with in my opinion.

QB1
LT
CB1
MLB
DE1 in a 4-3
S
DT1
WR1
C
RT

Just doing top 10

Seems fair except DE is waaaaaaaay ahead of MLB... because DE go #1 and MLB almost never go top 10 proving they are more valuable :)

I'd rather have a top MLB before a DE since he's the guy that brings in the play call/Audible. It all depends on your preference.

A WLB just went in the top 10, lol.

I think the NFL is evolving in ways you're not accounting for, but lord knows we aren't going to agree on position value.

Chiefs offense I will swear on it took a massive hit once Morse's foot was effectively out of commission after week 2. Fulton wasn't terrible, but the movement and level of complexity the Chiefs could throw at you was deeply damaged afterwards; and the runblocking honestly was atrocious.

If a LB can cover and destroy plays horizontally and have even a little coverage vertically, you have yourself a strong LB. No way RoQuan and Vander-Esch get drafted this high if this were 2000, imo.

I would agree. Plus, your MLB stays on the field, whereas a DE may not, or is most likely going to be subbed out for a backup to keep a consistent energy level. Stud MLBs are rarer than DEs IMO.

Thank You! That just hit me as well when rereading my post and forgot to add about the play on the field.

Actually it doesn’t depend on preference. MLB is a lower ranked position. Star DE trumps star MLB every day of the week my man.

Every position has gone top 10... well except K, P and Center.

Oh my fucking God!!! This is a hypo. Who gives a shit about draft rankings!! It's what is your choice on who to draft. I didn't say you were wrong cause it's a fucking hypo.

Dude... it has nothing to do with draft ranking. We can argue about subjective things like what order of importance a Center has but you simply don’t know football if you think teams covet star MLBers over star DE’s. That shit isn’t even debatable.

if we could be so lucky
I know you don’t like me but I also know you won’t chime in on what’s more important to building a team DE or MLB. I am a million percent sure you know I’m right.

Why do you continue to confuse importance with draft position?
It's simply easier to find a starting C than it is to find starting LT's.

This is the closest thing to the truth I've seen on here.

People have the misconception that it's about the importance of positions, when nothing could be further from the truth. It's about how easy it is to find an average player at the position. Average players are a fact of life on every team. The salary cap sees to that. A truly elite player at any position, with the possible exception of long snapper, elevates the performance of a team greatly. Every team is looking for the best talent, but have to fill out their rosters with average and below average talent.

So as a result, they prioritize positions that are harder to find average talent, in the draft.

The center might be rated higher, if you didn't need only one.
