I'm gonna like our pick but how can you not move up a few spots to get James. I mean the Chargers just stoled the guy at 17. Does this mean Ridley ? Does this mean Thomas is in play still?
Maybe because the Chargers didn’t want to.
You don't know if they tried not do you know what the price would have been. When it got to 15 I'm on the damn phone. Heck 12 for that.

Big difference between balls and just making stupid trades to move up.Go tell that to all the GMs that have some balls and make a move.

It all depends on what the trade partner wanted. They could have asked for a kings ransom, and then you and the rest of us would be botching about the cost. How much could it have been to move up 3-5 spots. A guy projected to be that good, I just think you have to make that move. Oh well, we still got a good player.
Even if Smith takes a step forward we needed a LB. I think Smith moves to the strong sideNot stupid at all. We got a good player. Makes me wonder a little bit about Jaylon Smith, but it filled a need.
I agree. Was thinking the same thing.Do the trade values seem real low to move up this year or is it just me.
Funny we had the same record as the teams that had the draft spots of both James and Edwards. I was watching Edwards for a couple of picks. Wonder what the team thought of him.
