No he isn’t. You are saying the guys leaving are back ups or suck. He is saying:

Trent Murphy would have been the third OLB, not fourth. He also omits the fact that TM pushes PS and is as good, maybe better. He then brings up the point of PS being a FA next season. I would not have paid 10 mil per season for TM. I would have approached him in December offering five mil a season while he was on IR.

Breeland would have still been our two with Moreau pushing. At 8 mil per season, he should have been signed. It would leave us the option to go away from Norman next season and save much more money. Then B.B. and FM could be our starting corners at a much lower rate and equal production. Again, I would have started talking to BB back in Nov/Dec and offered 6 mil a season.

Ryan Grant is interesting. There isn’t a person in the world that would have predicted 8 million per. He did produce this season and should have been approached in December as well. I would have came with 2 mil per season.

Spencer Long was approached last season with a low ball. It seems we like to do that to our own. You say we have an in house option and Keim agrees with you. Who would that be exactly? We don’t have a LG on the roster that would pushLong off the team. I would have offered him 3 mil per season back in December while he was injure during to kick off negotiations.

Keim claims we didn’t sign KC so we could sign other guys. Well, who exactly have we signed that we would have been unable to sign? We went out and signed an unproven Paul Richardson for 8 mil per season. We re-signed Dunbar. Ummm, that is it.

Keim also said the in house guys have to perform. He didn’t say they have proven they can. That isn’t good management. You don’t allow good players to walk with the blind hope the guys behind them can perform. That isn’thow you get better. That is how you win three games.

i will have keyboard greased and ready when this "let KC excuse " gets put to bed if smith or even sherff fails to resign

so the tally is we got older at qb , lost a shit ton of young depth , and we must rely on unproven players to step up and play with little drop off and the skins fan should be happy with that ?

the FO can sell that crap to someone else but if all you have to point to for improvement is a 34 yr old qb and a unproven wr as your go to moves then the off season was a loss

Marketing 101.... build loyalty to the brand, not the product. Fan attachment to the wrong players (those not chosen) can lead to loss of profit and revenue. Fan loyalty to the Brand ( The Redskins Name) ensures that no matter how good or bad the product, revenue remains steady, and consumers rarely complain or leave the brand.

can we say blind homerism anymore ? i havent seen that term since espn

Stockhomer syndrome. After 19 years of Snyder rule, fans have come to accept and in some ways enjoy the dysfunction.

Hell has it only been 19 years..... I guess pain seems to last alot longer. :noidea:

Based off the reported contracts I would have matched the following:

Niles Paul: Walk
Breeland: Match Offer
Ryan Grant: Walk
Long: Unknown till I hear the reported contract but most likely I would have Match Offer
Trent Murphy: Toss Up... could go either way leaning towards Match Offer but I will admit that I do have a calculated bias against the FO in the sense that I believe player movement success rate >50%

***Would have resigned murphy and long mid season at lesser rates
****Would have retained Cousins by offering a fair contract

why hype? My predictions came true and these guys are overpaid and gone. I also wanted P. Richardson in FA and that happened. Only two more holes to fill on offense. You are crying b/c we lost these guys which is hilarious.

your opinion but richardson is being overpaid based on what he has shown . RG overpay , long unknown but he is the starting center , TM 3 yrs 21 mil is OFFICIAL not the 30 mil you pimp so 7 mil for a starter is right in line because TM played starter snaps KC OFFICIAL NUMBERS 84 mil not 86 mil

and here is the real deal dean not your goal post moving crap . the debate centered on if they were quality draft picks , not whether they would be retained 4 yrs later the NFL answered that BB , long and TM were quality starters and are being paid as such so shark and i are right on the real issue and not some phony prognostication you made 4 years ago

With the level of shear outrage Dean showed for the disrespect of a guy named Moses 4 years ago... you would think he was Hebrew or something. And that is and always has been his beef with Murphy and Long... How dare we draft guys who turned out to be solid starters for the Redskins, and are now going to be paid as starters for another team.. and not recognize the greatness of Morgan Moses...

shark , in what , 15 -16 years of you and i posting have you ever heard me say "i am done with this team " ? have you ever heard me say " you or anyone else is not a fan " because they disagreed with my point of view ?

because on more then one occasion in the past few weeks i have had posters say "i am not a fan " for griping about losing OUR DAMN PLAYERS or bashing a team move made or not made . them same posters who advocate tanking seasons and wishing OUR DAMN PLAYERS GET HURT so their favorite son could play

this is the new snowflake mantra here at SportsHoopla , dont tow the company line , dont agree with everything we say then you NOT A FAN
