The car looks pretty impressive at $31,900 .... Never thought Kia would enter this market. But it's comp is listed 20 - 30K higher.

Shitty market to be in, but might as well give it a try.

I like it's sibling the Genesis G70 a bit more
These cars will depreciate at a fast rate.

I haven't seen one up close, but it doesn't look all that rad. Nice, but nothing spectacular.

Saw a couple at dealerships so far. None on the road yet. They're not that subtle, what you see is what you get. But they do look good in person.

Not good enough that I'd pay 50k for a Kia. We're not that far away from the day when I took a Kia for a test drive and while adjusting the rear view mirror it fell off in my hand. The salesman laughed and said he'd seen the side view mirrors fall off when you hit a hard bump. He knew he wasn't making the sale at that point. He'll even now they Were running a buy 1 get 1 free deal on Kias over the holidays. Buy one of their decent cars and they give you one of those throwaway econboxes for free.

The trick is to wait a couple of years. The depreciation should be substantial

Yep. Put in a little more to upgrade my wheels and tires and add running boards aftermarket. Ended up in it for $33k. Don’t buy into those overpriced upgrade packages to upgrade your wheels and tires and add running boards. If I’d bought it from them that way they would’ve gouged me for 36k at minimum. Put aftermarket fuel wheels, Toyo all terrain tires and some basic black tubular running boards on it for way less. Get the guts that you need on it with steel wheels and highway tires and add what you want aftermarket.
