Fly, Eagles Fly
Once people see Foles in the playoffs, I think the Wentz MVP sentiment is going to go up.
That's some hyperbole on both ends. I wouldn't even make that argument. He was awesome almost to half way through the season and I was saying he should be the MVP at around game 6 but after that he crashed and burned as was completely mediocre and the old Alex Smith. He isn’t even top 10 and definitely didn’t have a better season then Wentz.

Um, ok. For the season that's a 8 YPA.
More then 1 is multiple
The question comes down to Wentz's TD's vs. Brady's yards.
Brady's TD's are impressive too, but Wentz is one ahead of him in 3 less games.
I think Wentz wins the TD contest hands down if he stays healthy, by a decent margin, but likely would still not be anywhere close to Brady's yardage.
So say, Wentz finishes with 37 TDs and 4100 yds, compared to Brady's 32 TDs and 4577 yards.
I mean, one could argue it's a toss-up. Myself, I'd be inclined to give it to the 40 yr old.
See, this is why QBwinz is stupid. He lights up the Raiders and Jets like a Christmas tree and ended up losing. 1-6 really shouldn't even cross the minds of voters per se. I'll never claim Smith is MVP caliber in terms of talent, but I don't know what games you have been watching the past month if your thinking is "same mediocre Alex Smith." Outside a 3 game nuclear meltdown which increasingly looks more like a fluke/playcalling issue than anything terminal, he has been as efficient as you could possibly ask of a QB outside of Brady or Manning.Maybe he will make the top 10 MVP vote but won’t be top 5. YPA? That’s like one of a bunch of different stats they look at. Going 1-6 over 7 games is what sunk his MVP ship.
Who won it on the Teenager's Awards? Seriously it wouldn't be a wrong if he won it, And Dirt and Smart man , first time used in same sentence
It's naive to argue Wentz isn't the reason the eagles are the #1 seed.
That's the definition of mvp.
Fair assessment.
The problem is the award is "mvp"...not "guy with the best stats".

INT% (Was leading an NFL offense on pace for a record in giveaways despite Hill, Kelce, and week 17 scrubs creating 4 giveaways)
26 TD's. Nothing to sniff at given the offense he was leading above.
League leading passer rating.
Outside of Brees, Wentz, and Brady, I don't really think a QB has a serious statistical case over Smith this year. It's really not "just YPA" with Smith. He may not be an MVP, but not top 10 is just being silly based on his production week 1-16. We can talk about how sustainable that is on another team or year, but that's never been what MVP's have been about.
If that were the case they would need to give it to Tom Brady every single year since he's the G.O.A.T., but it's not, it's stats and a high school popularity contest.
We've seen bills work when tom is hurt or suspended for cheating.
The MVP of that organization wears ripped sweatshirts and goes by the title "coach".
I know you're probably confused bc you're thinking "wait, which time is he referring to".What cheating?

In Patriots terms, in referring to the time someone got suspended when the guy nicknamed "the Deflator" was around.

Cheating is old history Belichick is 19-19 in NE with 0 playoff appearances and lost the mighty AFCE div twice and would have been 3rd if Bledsoe didn't get injured, and most likely out of a job
Add in September 24, 2001 is the day BB woke up and realized he had a camera crew on the field.
Cheating jokes aside, if the Cowboys won with cheating, I'd be OK with it.
Well, what other way can you measure their value? Saying who is more valuable to a team is subjective af, and without stats as a guideline, it would just be homer-based nonsense.
