At this point in his career he's only useful as a pass rusher, of which the Steelers have plenty of. He wasn't being used. TJ Watt was the younger & better option. Why the hell would they do that now?
Praying that team isn't New England.
How do you know the decision wasn't mutual? You have no way of knowing that he was spurned out the door. Harrison could have asked for this. When you treat an honored veteran player this way, what does that say to the younger players?

I think there's more to it than that. He wants to play. Then he would have retired, imo.
Patriots will probably pick him up, so that Belichick can pick up the Steelers' defenses.

I'm hoping the decision was amicable at the very least. But if he clears waivers then he could return.
I could see NE picking him up. But not to pick up the Steelers defense. I think they have that pretty well figured out at this point.Patriots will probably pick him up, so that Belichick can pick up the Steelers' defenses.
Not a Steelers fan by any stretch of the imagination, but this was not the way to end Harrison's career.
Steelers should not have tried to drop Harrison into coverage. He stops the run and rushes the passer.
Play to his strengths, not try to use him as something he never was.
