This is my finals poll prediction if both Wisconsin and Georgia takes care of business against Ohio St. and Auburn in their conference champ. games. Wisconsin is undefeated, if they win out against a much improved Ohio St. I think they should be #1. If Georgia bests Auburn in round 2, they should be the last man standing at #4. As a Bama supporter, I don’t think we should be there this year even if Wisconsin falls to Ohio St. Im concerned about the porous quarterback play ( low percentage 3rd down conversions) and the multiple injuries to the linebacking corps. The top 4 teams listed would all expose our limited downfield threat except for maybe Wisconsin.
With that being said, if I had to make a prediction between #1 vs #4, Im gonna roll with Georgia. I think it would be a close matchup up until the second half. My prediction for #2 vs #3 I would go Clemson over Oklahoma. Yes Watson is in Houston playing professionally, and Mayfield is likely to be the heisman qb in this matchup, but I think that Clemson D line will be somewhat troubling for Mayfield and the Sooners. It wont be a blowout, but I think Clemson would prevail in the matchup.
That leaves Clemson vs Georgia for all the marbles. OOC rivalry meeting to win it all. Both have great defenses, good quarterback play, and are well coached. I think Georgia have the advantage at running back, and I will label them as favorites to win the CFB playoffs in Kirbys second year. Agree? Disagree? Go to hell you Bama?....
