Won a FCS championship.

Ya, but with Paul Wulff's player..isnt that how this works.

I like Baldwin don't get me wrong, but a proven winner from the Big Sky hasn't exactly translated in recent years.

But @mrwallace2ku why didn't they give it to Hall? The Beavs played balls out for that guy.

Baldwin is a proven winner that did an outstanding job with a freshman QB in a tough league. Felt bad for them coming up short last night, but they had a hell of a turnaround in year 1.
People thought GA was a proven winner too

It was his 3rd year they won it all, pretty mediocre his first two years after Wulff. And he sustained it his time there, his teams made it to the semis a bunch of times. Whether it'll translate or not, who knows. He hasn't built a program from the ground up like he'll have to do at OSU, that's for sure.

I was joking about the it was Wulff's fellas. Baldwin seems to have a good offensive mind, but will have to surround himself with a solid staff that can recruit.

He quit. It's not like he got fired. No HC is going to go into Corvallis and win year one with the needs in recruiting glaring.

UCLA travels to Ewwwgene on Nov 3rd next season. How fast will the thank you chip posters be torn up when UCLA goes up by double digits? :noidea:

There is still an army of Duck fans who fawn over him daily like a bunch school girls. Gonna be cute to see the reaction if he late flips anyone from the Ducks 2018 class right before the signing periods coming up. Something tells me that when the Kelly fan boys start tearing his fatheads of him off the walls of their trailers around Oregon.

I see there is a lack of a game thread for the Civil War. Oregon Ducks must be too upset over Chip to UCLA to make one. and its halftime and Oregon is winning 52-7 so im not gonna bother

Interesting. Hearing chatter that even with the bowl eligible season ASU had, that Graham might still be done. That the AD is still looking at options to get him out of there. And two names rumbled are none other than Kevin Sumlin if he’s out at Tex A&M and Jimmy Lake from Washington as potential targets to replace him. It’s almost inevitable that Lake will take a DC or HC job in the coming years, but hope he sticks around for as long as he can. Landing a HC job at a P5 program kind of feels like a bit of a reach at this point, but the offers will be coming. Especially for DC jobs.

If both Sumlin and Kelly are in the PAC, buckle up, because your gonna see some serious light speed offense tempos out there.

They won like 1 game this year. I hope the Ducks aren't chest thumping about this victory tonight cause they were playing a total train wreck.

Looks like Graham just got 'bounced' by ASU...

And there it is. Yep, Graham out at ASU.

Also what was mentioned is Graham has a bad rep at many High Schools in the state of Arizona or completely ignores them. Including many of the best programs. Given the new stadium upgrades and facilities, ASU probably thinks they should be able to recruit better than Graham does.

There was also the embarrassing situation with other PAC coaches publicly stating that Graham’s son’s job with his programs is to steal play signals from other teams at games and even spy on practices, etc....It’s not some BS accusation either. Graham has been doing this for some time and begs the question about how bad his coaching chops are if he has to go to these lengths.

There were lots of hot seat rumors for RichRod and him this year. Both seemed to have saved themselves with being bowl eligible, but looks like ASU was gonna terminate anyway if the record was even like 6 or 7 wins. The relationship appears to have been damaged beyond repair.

Will be interesting to see who they hire. Watch for Sumlin if he is let go this week. That deal could actually already be done behind the scenes, but there are other good coaches that would be very interested.

Anything interesting happen yesterday? I was busy all day sending recommendations to Florida, Tennessee and Texas A&M about how great of a coach Mike Leach is and how he would improve their football programs.

I would think it more productive for you to advocate for Jimmy Lake to get hired as a DC or HC somewhere. UW's secondary just flat out owns the air raid under him.
