Wouldn't be awesome if the beavs held them to no TD's? That shit would be cemented.

The fact it was something that hadn't happened in a decade means it's a viable thing to label right now. 10 years since they had been kept out of any end zone, and it came against a team they were supposed to be really really hungry to play.

Did you see the bulletin board material taggart used with the picture of Jake pointing at their defender as he got that first TD? Said something about what are you going to do about it?

Well the answer clearly was roll over and give them our soft belly.

Lol. Next year he can post a picture of Pettis windmilling in the endzone.

The question is after this bye week, are the ducks going to really want to beat Zona, or really REALLY want to beat them? They don't play so well when they really REALLY want to win.

You're right, I can't ever remember a sark coached team failing to score a touchdown. How many years until 'no touchdown taggart' can stick?

Can't it be 3 point Willie or something? No touchdown Taggart is too long to say repeatedly. Jesus, you Huskies need to quit giving out names, leave it to us to coin phrases you can use such as Seven win Steve or in Oregon's case Win the Day.
WSU vs BYU in 2012 Leaches first game 30-6 2 FG no TD
also 2012 WSU vs Oregon State 19-6 2 FG

Hmm, so you are equating a team with endless resources and a few years removed from a NC berth to a Paul Wulff era Cougs team? Don't be so hard on yourself, you may have 3 point Willie but you haven't gone 0-12.

I'm not counting Oregon out. New HC, starting QB is out and it is what it is. Petersen went 6 - 6 his first two years at Washington.

Difference between counting him out and having reason to believe he can bring them all the way to the Chip Kelly era level of performing though. Stay a sub .500 team? No. Doubt that. 10+ year in and year out? Remains to be seen and I have my skepticism, but certainly not impossible.

The Petersen's and Kelly's of college football are quite rare. There are a great number of teams that would do anything to find one and few ever do. Even with Petersen he has to continue to keep his program at the level it is at and show he can keep it there through major transition and the inevitable staff changes that come with winning before people keep anointing him as the next Don James.

other difference is Kelly taking over when Oregon was up while taggart took over on the down. Kelly maintained but if he took over off 4 wins where would the next year actually have been?

Kelly was there during the assent before he took over as HC. That gave him a distinctive edge to be sure. They didn't have to change staff or schemes or anything else.

I get you are giving a lot of room to the new guy. All I'm saying is hitting home runs on coaching hires in general is a very low percentage proposition at best. It's about the odds. Storied blue bloods with deep pockets and endless upside fail. Ask SC or Nebraska. Bama struggled before Saban. Florida is a dumpster fire. FSU is on the rocks. ND has sputtered trying to find their next big thing. On and on it goes.

so is this like USC scenario village??

I think only a fan can conjure up a scenario village. Part of building that village and other seeing that village is that the fan actually thinks what he's proposing is possible. I saw the article and laughed. Ain't no way all that shit is happening.

you cant compare him to 7-7 Sark because 1. he isn't drunk and 2. sark earned the name after multiple seasons not 1.

I agree.

Besides, No Touchdown Taggart is much better.
