Captain Kirk isnt worth the money....

If they traded for Kirk right now they eat $12.5M in cap space, and IF they have to franchise him he costs $35M, plus Bruce would have wanted MORE than a 2nd rounder.

By trading for Grap, they take over $.5M (1/2M) in cap space, and SHOULD they need to franchise him, he costs about $22M.

Kyle isnt dumb enough to try and Trade with Bruce.

If Kyle called, Bruce would want a first rounder, just as in fact YOU would have screamed we should have gotten their first rounder. Bruce wants to look like he is in control of the situation. Dealing Kirk to the Niners for a 2nd might have pleased you, but once you forget about the money, and remember WHO Bruce Allen is. It wasn't always a popular opinion here but I was a fan of Kyle's. Look how much Atlanta misses him. I do not think Kyle, Bruce and Dan could have ever co-existed though. Kyle is arrogant like his Dad. I know people here didn't like the zone run game but we haven't run worth a damn since the Shanahan's left. Kyle has a brain cramp at times though. He is part of the reason why the Falcons lost the Super Bowl, he is also the reason they were up by a bunch too.

I think the biggest mistake they have made aside from the Griffin trade, was firing Mike and Kyle. Not because I thought Mike was the future, but Kyle was. I think Kyle gets the Niners back into the Super Bowl hunt soon.
