Even if we are sitting at #2, do you really think Dan and Bruce are going to be ok taking the 2nd best rated QB in the draft again?? Because if we dont fork up, some one else will considering the Darnold drool fest started just after the 2015 draft.

I think that you are discounting the PR aspect of this. If Snyder/Allen make one of those huge trades again they may alienate a huge % of their fanbase. They are already on thin ice w/ the way they dumped the GM & the handling of the Cousins situation. Add in Pryor possibly being a bust, a subpar performance this season & Snyder's already horrible reputation in DC & this could get ugly.

I truly believe that the large % of Skins fans (not just the diehards) like Cousins & want him to stay in DC. Cutting ties w/ him & making a risky trade for a rookie QB will not sit well with many fans. Hopefully the team does well moving fwd & they retain Cousins so that this is a moot pt.

The Danny may also not be pleased if his team is playing to half empty stadiums & he has to again instruct his security to remove all of the "F Snyder" signs from FedEx. Football people can only take Danny and Bruce for a short amount of time. As for the empty stadiums, I get the feeling a good portion of the people buying tickets are no longer of the die hard fan variety. But are more of the glamor crowd. Nothing boosted ticket sales and a warm fuzzy in FedEx like the Bob maneuver. Got to give Dan props on the selling ice to eskimos and shit to sanitation workers angle. If ticket sales are struggling, boy does know what will fill the seats even when the team is struggling.

Possibly, but I don't think that another RG3 type move is going to necessarily sit well w/ the fans given the recent history & the fact that they will have moved on from Cousins (a fan favorite for many in spite of some of the opinions expressed in this forum). I believe that will be a much tougher sell at this time.

Bottom line (in the eyes of many). Snyder gets involved in major way = ultimate failure for team. Snyder stays out of picture for most part = at least a shot at success.

Again - lets hope that the team rebounds & gives the team no real option other then extending Cousins.

The Danny would have to understand we are looking long term. I am just not impressed by the QBs being touted this season. I am a Baker Mayfield guy. I like Saquon but I do not take RBs that high, ever.

God this team needs to win this weekend. We don't need all of this draft talk in Oct. Talking about how to build a team in kind of fun - watching a good team is better. Getting Snyder/Allen involved in finding a new QB & blowing up the current roster is a good way to ensure that we are always talking about the draft in Oct.
