What do we have to lose.
Now if we could just learn how to develop pitchers
Well.....Let's hope we develop pitchers, players too actually, to date, better than we've done in the past.
I heard a show from Norm Hitzges the other day and he went through our top 10 picks for the last 10+ years. It covered 113 players.
And here were his top 3 players we've drafted/developed since 2004:
Even if Norm is wrong, are you impressed?
- Gallo.....
- Justin Smoak.....
- And the pitcher Hendrickson.
If he is going to include players we have traded away I think I could come up with some to put above Smoak.Well.....Let's hope we develop pitchers, players too actually, to date, better than we've done in the past.

Well above Smoak in my estimation.Holland was drafted in 2006, I'm pretty sure he'd crack the top 3
Or is his top 3 only consisting of the top 10 picks still?

Houstons scrub starter with a 6+ ERA is dominating us. Go figure. Maybe we can lower his era to 4 before the end of the night.
Hoying is worthless.
I take that back..........honestly.
He's a good/too very good CF. Kind of like DDJ, but a bigger/better armed/more powerful version. Certainly nothing else.
Frankly, I'd take DeShields as my fill-in/part-time-starter/PH or PR.
and now Cashner is gonna just give it right back
