Obviously being a center changes things. However, I'm looking more at the stats. This past season obviously he was injured, but before that it was a 44 point campaign, and then his career high of 67. But with the current way most contracts are handed out, it fits.

Really liking this deal. Curious to see if he gets the captaincy now that we know he's here for the long run. There were rumors it would be Bryce, but that means we would have to search for another captain in 2-3 years.

Nope. I would have been upset if it was one of the loudmouths, but I don't recall hearing much of anything from Lou. Perhaps he was always fine with these deals.

Actually eloco, I kinda like the big FU Louie Lams delivered to Bettman (since the league punished the Devils for the Kovalchuk contract while ignoring all the previous cap circumvention contracts).
