Seriously doubt we'd take him with the thought that he'd make the team. I'm wondering if we do take him, he'd be trade bait for Denver. The Jets may be takers for him though. He's got ridiculously low cap number. $600K this year and $690K in 2017.

Why wouldn't we take him? Seriously low cap number, possible upside backup...but you want Lael Collins. Makes little sense.

I didn't realize Collins made his whiny comments on sitting out, but I still think he'd be worth the risk for the reasons stated in my prior posts. The reason why you don't take Mettenberg is because he potentially takes reps from Sudfeld, who needs them. However, the more I think about it, there's little downside to this subject to the reps point.

Pass for me. He's pretty awful from what I understand. Don't see how he gives us anything colt and sudfeld don't.

For $600K I would toss in a waivers claim for him. BUt as I said earlier, I would expect some one else to beat us to it.
