Of course, but are those not the stats as we sit here today? Your post history tells me that if Ryan were up there you wouldn't have written that. No one is stating that Jackson and Dak will be over 140 for the season or even be leading the league after this week or that Ryan will throw the 40 interceptions he is on pace for...maybe 36, but not 40...

I don't believe I've ever quoted 2 game sample sizes for stats but yes as of now that's where they sit. And I'm not impugning anyone . I'm just saying in a 2 game sample your competition is huge

Dak lighting it up at the right time... bodes well for a healthy extension if he can keep it up.

Yeah, I never put much stock into QB rating on it's own anyway but it's a little more accurate over the course of a full season or career. We will see on this. Conversely, I'm mildly impressed with Keenum on there vs the Eagles and Cowboys Ds.
I do think in the end, the only ones that are likely to be consistently on there are Wilson, Mahomes and Brady. We will see on the rest. But nobody's numbers will remain anywhere near that high, imo.

Those stats are meaningless, as Danny Dimes begins his NFL onslaught this coming weekend.

that list really shakes out well if you ask me.

prescott has 50 starts. hes the only one that really sticks out as odd. but, Dak was a 96 before the season. so his career rating jumped 2 pts in 2 games, meaning its a small sample size relative to say, romo, who played in 106 more games for his 97 rating.

like baseball, BA jumps and dives until the season progresses, so does rating for a QB early in his career.

Even on that list @jarntt , there are some anomolies. Even when the thread was posted about Wilson being at #2, I mentioned how It didn't mean much by itself. And I absolutely love the QB my team has. But when you look at it on that list, is there anyone that would honestly want a Tony Romo over Peyton Manning? And Kirk Cousins sits above Big Ben, Montana and Warner. It's just a wierd thing but it's there nonetheless. Anyways, cheers man.

It's obviously skewed by rule changes and benefits today's player, but be it 3 plus years or 10 plus it's still a large sample size. It can't of course be used against a Marino or Unitas as the game was just too different.

Keep in mind that they enforced the 5 yard no contact rule in 05, 06? So if you look at guys like a Peyton, his passer rating jumped up pretty big and so did the td/int ratio while he played 6 seasons with old rules. And I'm sure if guys like Young played with today rules he would prob running at 110 rating.

Yeah, no doubt, the modern rule changes greatly benefit these guys, Sonny. I also think Young and Montana benefit greatly from Walsh's west coast offense when you look at it. A lot of things obviously factor into it.

No doubt Dr. but those 2 QB's were just that damn good, you wonder why more teams don't utilize the WCO . Also have to take in consideration the dome QB's, they play at least half their game in a controlled environment. When you get those cold, windy, snow days in Dec and early Jan, makes it tough throwing

Very little chance Dak stays above those names when he has as many games as they do. My take away from it is that he is doing what he needs now to make sure he has a good shot at actually playing as many games as the rest on that list.
