Who will vie for the Johnny "The Jet" Rodgers Return Specialist Award this year?

Got a game changing return specialist on your favorite team?

Past winners are...

2012 - Tavon Austin, West Virginia
2011 - Joe Adams, Arkansas

1959 - Billy Cannon, LSU

The watchlist for the Johnny "The Jet" Rodgers Return Specialist Award should be out in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime we could probably come up with a pretty good list.

To be eligible, a player must be a primary return specialist (punt and/or kickoff), be ranked among the national leaders in return and display "leadership, courage, desire, respect for authority and discipline.

Nebraska's return game was atrocious last season due to fumblitis, but if they can get that fixed than Jamal Turner has the intangibles and could have a decent season.

Not sure if he qualifies for this award, but he is ridiculous.

Highlights for yall, even if you hate the Ducks, enjoy these amazing plays by Mamba

The guy in blue (Aloha) is an incoming Freshman that should get some returns... 6'1" 210 fastest kid in the class of 2013. Went for 640 yds in rushing in a game this season...

Black Mamba is absolutely terrifying.

OSU has several options. Roderick Smith and Devin Smith both returned kicks last year, and we also have Jordan Hall coming back from injury, so it's a crapshoot at this point. I'd love to see incoming frosh Dontre Wilson. He is insanely fast and accelerates right now.

SoxOSU, I was dissapointed to see Wilson go to tOSU after committing to Oregon. But hey... Cant wait to see him he is electrifying.

I dont think Black Mamba is the fastest Duck anymore however... See the 100m dash I posted above. Way bigger than DeAnthony as well...

Yeah, it wouldn't shock me if he played RB and WR in Urban's offense. His acceleration is astonishing for someone his age. Can't wait to get him in this summer for workouts. He will definitely be on the field this year.

That Tyner kid looks like a monster. I saw his daddy is a lawyer?

Don't forget Addison, Mamba. He never really showed skill running on returns but he was catching everything kicked his way in the Fiesta. I would have liked to see what he could do.

Oly, I love Addison. That kid has fantastic set of hands. I love having him back for punts. Makes me feel very confident in having him back there. Doesnt seem like a guy that will make mistakes. He is one of my favorite Ducks FOR SURE.

Alabama has been lacking the past few years. I'd be happy with one that just didn't fumble.

Marquis Maze was pretty good, but 2011 was his last year.

Before that Javier Arenas was awesome, but 2009 was his last year. He might be one of the best ever at returning.

Canes always fair pretty good in this category.
Duke Johnson is uncanny at finding the holes and the speed to get through them.

Agree. The U always seems to have outstanding return men. I will keep my eye on this Johnson fella. Sounds like he is fun to watch...

Right on. UMan. Are you happy with Golden as the Canes HC? I dont much about how the fanbase feels about him.. 2000+ miles away... I think he is a great fit and a needed change of mindset for the program....

No doubt, like him. Good recruiter. Kind of got hosed a hiring, it seems the institution hasn't forthright about impending sanctions. But he stuck with us. His wife loves Coral Gables which is a plus.
