Was curious who everyone's culinary influences are on this board. No reason you have to pick one, pick as many as you'd like(within reason lol)...

If you happen to have one of their recipes you enjoy and have made at home, please share...Even if its something you've recreated on your own at home and still came out well, share that too!!!

Gordon Ramsay is the man... His no-bullshit methods are contagious.

Only gripe I have with him is I hate how he prepares eggs... That's a no go for me. I like fluff in my eggs, not buttery & creamy like he swears by.

Some of my favorite recipes of his:

Trisha Yearwood - Don't ask!

She actually makes food that I like eating which won't take long to cook or cost much $ to make.

Edit: I know she is not a professional chef. But she works for me when I see her food network.

Hmmm I could never hope to recreate anything of his and I'm so so dissapointed ill never get to eat at El Bulli, but I'm fascinated by Ferran Adria. To a lesser extent David Chang

I've never recreated anything of his(Ferran Adria's) either...However, I do have a few of his cookbooks if the mood strikes me(the damn things cost a fortune, 200+ dollars each, though now one of them is worth about 1000) these days the ingredients(chemicals) aren't as expensive as they used to be, but still not "cheap"

I've also always wanted to go to El Bulli...HOWEVER, if you really are interested, his brother has at least 2 places in(I think)Barcelona which supposedly carries on many of the traditions in a much less formal environment...

El Bulli is gone.

Yes, unfortunately it is, but that's why I mentioned about his brother is keeping many of the traditions/dishes/techniques alive in his(less formal) Barcelona restaurants

They have Manning's record wrong.

He had 27 left, but then he got sacked for -10 before the 17 yard gain.

They did not calculate the sack yards.

Wrong thread Chico. And sack yards don't count against individual stats.

I have always liked Ming Tsai, but I like his ideas and flavor combos moreso than any particular recipe.

For actual recipes/directions I like the science-y guys more than traditional chefs. Alton Brown, everyone at America's Test Kitchen, Kenji Lopez is probably my single favorite though.

Not a "feet guy" by any means, but don't think hers should be bare. But seriously, am familiar with her show and do think she puts on a good spread for guest that I would like to punch. Not a slam Mox cause love you...no feet pics requested though.

Alton Brown is awesome to watch, but some of his shit is so anal-retentive...too militant for me to reproduce allot of the times.
