Baylor has been the 1 team that has been consistantly dominate all season. Theya re the 1 team has looked a true #1 all season

so just ignore their poor defense, the fact that they lost their QB today, and have a very difficult remaining schedule? those factors kinda negate the impact of their season to date.

There defense is not poor. They just score so quick, and blowout opponents out so early that teams have to pass so much to try to come back, and also get to run a lot more plays because of that.

As for the QB look what happen to Ohio St last year a 3rd string QB lead them to the championship. So you cant judge the backup QB yet, but you cna judge how Baylor has performed up to this point. QB can be judged on how he performs in the coming weeks.

Like I said remaining schedule has absolutely nothing to do with ranking teams, and even if for some crazy reason you did want to factor it in the more difficult it is the better

Unless you have a lot of defense depth it's hard to look competent with that kind of offense. I saw it in 2011 with OKST. Everyone said our defense sucked. They were just fine but they were on the field all the time because the offense scored so fast. Plus you had backups in by the second half with teams forced to pass a lot so defense stats tend to get skewed.

I think their defense gets tested against the better teams in the conference but with their schedule so far it's hard to pass judgement on it at this point.

They ran pretty hot on qb injury karma the past few years though so it will be interesting to see how they deal with this.

Saw a headline that the Baylor QB broke his neck. Didnt actually click the story so not sure if true.

Fractured a bone in his neck. Not an Eric Legrande type thing but he may be out for a while.

Yeah, they still have to confirm it. He still may play next week, so maybe it isn't as bad as it sounds.

No fucking way I'd ever play football with a fractured bone in my neck...all kinds of issues can arise with that...

You can only play who is on your schedule. You have to judge how well they have played.
But they chose to play one of the weakest non-con schedules in college football.

Michigan State's top corner fractured a bone in his neck against Oregon and he's done for the season.

C1 or C2 fractures are nothing to mess with...MSU's corner should be done for the year and so should Baylor's QB.

Teams have to be tested and if they want to show they are a championship quality team they need to play a championship quality schedule.

Shoot I might be trying to milk that into a done for life. I understand they love the game and that they have a <1% chance at the pros but man, paralysis just missed this kid.

Exactly...neck injuries regardless are difficult to come back with. People don't realize how close to death you come when you fracture your neck.
